The Porsche 911 GT3 R is always ready for a race with its four-liter six-cylinder boxer engine delivering a total of 480 HP and its six-speed sequential gearbox that transmits the power to the rear axle, but what happens when a racing team grabs hold of it? The short answer is, well, nothing really. Why would anything need to be changed when this new racer delivers 40 HP than the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S and only weighs roughly 2,645 lbs? What can happen, though, is for racing team, MRS (Molitor Racing Systems), to restyle the Porsche and enter it into the ADAC GT Masters at Red Bull Ring on August 12-14, 2011.
With the help of "car wrapping specialist" Cam Shaft, MRS has completely wrapped the Porsche GT3 R in a matte blue foil with red and black accents to help the race car stand out above the rest. The freshened up look is still coupled with the standard GT3 R’s roll cage for added protection and its driver-focused cockpit.
