Throughout the many years the Corvette has been in existence, it has maintained its reputation for being a classic sports car. Each generation has passed, adding more power and an altered design, but what happens when you want to take a classic Corvette and give it a modern twist? This is where a dedicated team can step in to restore and upgrade the veteran vehicle into the masterpiece it was intended to be. Now, there have been plenty of restored and upgraded vehicles in our time, but this particular project stands out because of the particular vehicle undergoing the transformation: a 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster.
The updated and restored Corvette took three years to complete, but the final product is a vehicle that stays true to its history. The custom Spectrum turquoise vehicle is all Corvette - not leftover parts from random sports cars - and is even powered by a modern Corvette LT1 Generation II 350 that develops an impressive 420 HP (an impressive update over the first generation 283 HP), mated to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.[...]
