Kevin Morgan Pontiac Trans AmThe death of the Pontiac brand back in 2009 gave birth to several Firebird builds based on the Chevrolet Camaro, one of the most prominent of which is the Hurst Edition Pontiac Trans Am designed by Kevin Morgan for Trans Am Depot.

Inspired by the classic Trans Am from the Smokey and the Bandit film series, the screaming chicken made its debut at the 2009 SEMA show.

YouTube user DtRockstar1 captured an example of the Trans Am firing up its tuned V8 engine at the 2012 Detroit Autorama show. You can watch the video straight after the break.[...]

Mercedes CLS63 AMG by Mansory

You think a Lamborghini Aventador and a McLaren MP4-12C is enough work for a tuning company like Mansory?

Guess again.

The German tuning company introduced their third presentation at the Geneva Motor Show, this time involving a fully customized Mercedes CLS 63 AMG. Nothing speaks more to Mansory’s capabilities than their expertise in turning a series-production CLS into a bonafide four-wheeled rocket.

The complete modification consists of a comprehensive aerodynamic program made entirely out of carbon fiber. Drawing from their carbon fiber experts, Mansory was able to build by new front and rear wings, new side sill sets and cladding, a newly designed bonnet, a redesigned front apron with daytime driving lights, a new rear apron, a newly-installed diffuser, a rear spoiler, and a new set of 20" ultralight forged wheels.

Inside, Mansory applied a luxurious touch-up to the CLS63 AMG that includes new aluminum pedals and footrests, an elaborately designed full-leather upholstery, polished entry sills, and floor mats with exclusive embroidery. Just like the body components, the interior also gets generous heapings of tailored carbon-fiber components for the dashboard and center console. Finally, the steering wheel gets newly designed ergonomics, further accentuating the improved interior aesthetic of the Mercedes coupe.[...]

Porsche Panamera RXL by RUF

Anytime a tuning company decides to mess with a car’s overall dimensions, there’s bound to be a lot of split reaction on what the finished product is going to look like. German tuner, RUF, is treading that water with the new Porsche Panamera RXL.

The car, which is currently being showcased at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show is, by all effects, a longer version of the standard Panamera. Obviously, the whole point was to turn the German saloon into a limousine, but as far as we’re concerned, some cars are just not meant to be, shall we say, "elongated."

Not only did RUF do that, but they did it very generously. Overall, the Panamera is longer by 400mm - 250mm on the B-pillar and 150mm at the back - which is pretty ridiculous on its own. If there was ever any saving grace for the Panamera RXL, it’s that RUF was kind enough to provide a modified front bumper that puts a more aggressive profile on the Panamera while also fitting in some nice 22" RUF five-spoke alloy wheels.

As far as performance enhancements are concerned, the Panamera RXL’s 4.8-liter V8 engine gets a bump in output to 420 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 383 lb/ft of torque at 4,000 rpm.[...]

Porsche Cayenne 958 GT Aero 1 Kit by Gemballa

German tuner, Gemballa, has brought an interesting styling package for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel to Geneva, dissuading the notion that a practical daily driver can’t be turned into a mean and aggressive road runner.

In essence, that’s what Gemballa was going for when they went to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show to show off their subtle yet stylish GT Aero 1 modular styling package. Known as one of the best carbon fiber aerodynamic kit builders in the world, Gemballa’s AERO 1 components are direct replacements for the original parts, and fit to the factory mounting points, which means that if the owner wants to return his Cayenne to its stock looks, he can do so without hampering any of the other body components.

Included in the AERO 1 package is a new front bumper and spoiler, which gives the SUV a more sporting appearance. In addition, the package also has new side skirts, a deeper rear bumper, and a new set of 22" ultra-light, forged alloy wheels.[...]

Range Rover Harris Tweed Edition by KahnKahn has a passion for taking car interiors and playing with them to the point where they are almost unrecognizable, with one of the most important ingredients in this recipe being the special materials it uses. Now, the British aftermarket developer has released the Range Rover Harris Tweed edition, thus bringing the Champagne of fabircs, as the material is called, inside the cabin of the SUV.

Mercedes SLS AMG by FAB Design

We all know how eccentric the folks over at FAB Design are, but one program that really captured our attention was their work on the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. Now, the tuner extraordinaire is back with a similar program for the SLS AMG Roadster. Just like the hard-top version of the Mercedes supercar, the program for the roadster is called the Gulfstream and it comes with plenty of aerodynamic and performance modifications.

The first order of business is the body kit, which comes with a new front bumper with vertically positioned daylight running lights. It also has wider fenders that flow down into the sides skirts and run up into the widened quarter panels. A new rear bumper was also added with bigger vents to go with a diffuser and a carbon fiber lip spoiler. Lastly, FAB Design also installed a new stainless steel sports exhaust system that has an integrated valve control and a quad-tailpipe set-up.[...]

Porsche 911 RUF by RUF

There’s plenty to love about the RUF’s special program for the all-new Porsche 911. Not only does it commemorate the German tuner’s 35th anniversary, but it’s also actually the very first turbocharged 2012 Porsche 911 in the world. A fact that’s made even more impressive considering that Porsche themselves haven’t released a turbocharged 911.

The showroom model of the RUF RT 35th Anniversary has been dressed in a fancy military green paint finish, which pulls out a ’wow’ reaction among all those that see the car up close. But for all of the likeability of the car’s exterior finish, the RUF RT 35th Anniversary distinguishes itself because of what RUF put under its hood. With a 3.8-liter flat-six engine in tow, RUF added turbochargers to the overall mechanical configuration, thus spiking the sports car’s output from the standard 400-horsepower output all the way up to an insane 630 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 608 lb/ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. The whole set-up is also available with a PDK double-clutch transmission, ensuring superior performance and driver comfort, and allowing the car to hit a top speed of 205 mph.ш...щ
