Touring SuperleggeraFelice Bianchi Anderloni, the man who founded the Milan-based Carozzeria Touring, had once said that ?Weight is the enemy, air is the obstacle?. With a brief to design a car that would be ?insensitive to the wind?, Touring?s designers created the now famous, Alfa Romeo 1900-based C52 Disco Volante racing concept back in 1952.

Commemorating the 60th anniversary of the impressive concept, Touring Superleggera unveiled the Disco Volante 2012 at the 82nd Geneva Motor Show which will be produced in a limited number.

It?s a two-seater coupe with a front-central (i.e. placed behind the front axle) engine and a transaxle drivetrain.[...]

McLaren MP4-1C Terso by FAB Design

The McLaren MP4-12C has become a tuning favorite at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Now it appears that FAB Design is joining in on the MP4-12C love.

The Swiss tuner has prepared their very first program for the McLaren supercar and to their credit, it’s mighty impressive. Called the MP4-12C Terso, the supercar comes with plenty of new digs, particularly on the aerodynamic and performance ends.

FAB Design’s MP4-12C aero kit is made up of a new front skirt with larger air intakes, new side skirts, redesigned side air intakes, a new rear bumper and diffuser, and a new rear spoiler that goes over the top of the stock spoiler McLaren fitted into the MP4-12C. Rounding out the exterior enhancements are a new set of 20" FAB-Design Evolution three-part forged wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP SportMaxx tires. Interior modifications are entirely up to the customer’s preference to which they can choose from a variety of high-end materials, including leather, Alcantara, carbon, or aluminum.[...]

Porsche 911 SP 370 by Sportec

Swiss tuning company, Sportec, is bringing their latest program for the all-new Porsche 911, specifically the Carrera and Carrera S models, to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

While devoid of any aerodynamic enhancements, the tuning company went balls to the wall with a performance upgrade and a new sports suspension system. For the former, Sportec upgraded the engine’s electronics while also putting in new sports catalysts, bumping up the 911’s 3.8-liter flat six engine from the standard 400 horsepower to 420 horsepower. This results in an increased 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

The new sports suspension system Sportec has added lowers the sports car’s ride height by 25 mm, highlighting the new set of 20" aluminum Mono/7 wheels.[...]

Carlsson Smart FortwoTogether with its existing styling upgrades for both the exterior and the interior of the Smart Fortwo, German tuning house Carlsson presented a performance kit for the Daimler group's smallest model at this week's Geneva Motor Show.

Carlsson's CK10 package for the Fortwo includes a revised engine management system and a sport air filter that help lift the 1.0-liter petrol unit's peak output to 110hp (82kW) and torque to 158Nm (116.5 lb-ft).[...]

Gemballa McLaren MP4-12Many tuning firms have realized that the Mclaren MP4-12 might not have the coolest, catchiest name in the world, but it will be bought by a lot of people with money that want a supercar that's not a Ferrari. And since the British car is turbocharged and not that bold-looking, it's the prime target for customizing and engine mods.

Thus, the Gemballa McLaren MP4-12 body kit was born, and it made its way to the Geneva, where supercar spotter Alex Molik filmed it inside out.

The kit isn't extr... [...]

McLaren MP4-12C memoR by Hamann

Out of all the tuning packages that have graced the Geneva Auto Show’s floor, the packages for the McLaren MP4-12C seem to be the ones that are stealing the spotlight in Geneva. One of the more impressive packages is being offered by Mansory, but the "memoR" package from Hamann looks even better than that.

While the new MP4-12C has been criticized very often of having a design that is "too arbitrary and too little on its own," Hamann decided to get the car back to its F1 roots. For this, the front air intakes, the cross section of the hood, the rear side panel, and the sill area were all redesigned. Then, the company added a large front splitter, upper and side wheel arch forced vents, door sills, and an extended rear diffuser. A large rear wing ensures the necessary aerodynamic balance, while the rear end gets a triple exhaust system for a more menacing sound from the vehicle’s 3.8-liter V8 engine.[...]

Mercedes C-Class Bullit Coupe by Brabus

German tuner, Brabus, has made a living building ridiculous engine modifications with some of their past Mercedes programs and it’s only fitting that they’re following all that up with yet another mind-boggling project.

The lucky Mercedes to get the latest Brabus treatment is the new Mercedes C-Class Coupe. Called the Brabus Bullit Coupe, the C-Class comes dressed to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show party with a slick matte black finish that only underscores the monstrous V12 engine under its belly.

Talking about that V12 engine, we know that Brabus has never been shy when it comes to engine tweaks and thanks to their colossal turbocharged V12 engine, the lively and spunky C-Class now boasts of an insane 800 horsepower and 1,047 lb/ft of torque. To ensure that the car’s transmission doesn’t go out of whack, Brabus is limiting the car to "just" 811 lb/ft of torque, which is still mighty impressive in its own right.[...]

FAB Design SLS RoadsterThis year's Geneva Motor Show has been jammed packed not only with cars but also visitors. With hundreds of cars on displays as far as you can see, we couldn't cover it all. So for a bit of tuning action, we turned to supercar spotter Alex Molik, who has filmed this this FAB Design SLS Roadster Jetstrem today.

This conversion is based on the body kit for the SLS coupe called the Gullstream, but in places it has become unique. The show car impresses us with its red paintjob that almost looks l... [...]

Mansory Lamborghini AventadorDo you know what orange chrome and carbon fiver will do to a car? Mansory does, because they did it to the Lamborghini Amventador. What it does is light the car on fire!

Gemballa McLaren MP4-12CPerhaps surprisingly to some, but not so much to others, the McLaren MP4-12C has captured the attention of many tuners at this year's Geneva Auto Salon.

After Wheelsandmore, Mansory and FAB Design, German tuning outfit Gemballa has also presented its take on the British supercar. This is the first time that Gemballa has tuned a McLaren model.

"McLaren?s lightweight construction philosophy, exclusivity and client profile are a perfect fit for our own philosophy," says the German company's Managing Director, Andreas Schwarz.[...]
