Mercedes ML CD35 by Carlsson

Carlsson’s newest program for the Mercedes ML-Class will make its world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Known for some of the best aftermarket Mercedes programs in the world, Carlsson is looking to set the standard for SUV refinement for 2012. For the program, Carlsson has prepared quite the treat for ML-Class owners. There’s an aero package that add bolds styling to the SUV and there’s a performance enhancement that adds more power than you can imagine.

For the aerodynamic kit, Carlsson took the wind tunnel to develop all of the parts, ensuring up-standard quality and engineering. A new front apron was installed, giving the SUV a more masculine look. Grille inserts made of electro polished stainless steel mesh were also added to the chrome radiator grille and the central air inlet. On the side, Carlsson installed new side skirts whereas the rear end gets a new rear apron and the addition of a new stainless steel, double flow rear exhaust resonator. Rounding off the exterior modifications are a new set of 20" Carlsson 1/5 Revo light alloy wheels. Inside, Carlsson went to great lengths to enhance the ML-Class’ amenities. Illuminated door panels have been fitted in, Carlsson door pins were added, and finally, aluminum pedals were included.[...]

Hamann Mercedes SLS AMG RoadsterAt the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Hamann Motorsport had unveiled a tuned version of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG called the Hawk. One year later, the German tuner returns to the same venue to give the Hawk treatment to the roadster version of the SLS AMG.

The open-top model's naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 is upgraded with remapped electronics, a high performance exhaust system and a sports air filter that all do their part to lift output from 563hp (571PS) and 650Nm (479.3 lb-ft) to 627hp (636PS) and 680Nm(501.7 lb-ft) of torque.[...]

Volkswagen Golf V R32 by MR Car Design

MR Car Design, in collaboration with BTS-Racing, has released a new aftermarket tuning package for the Volkswagen Golf V R32, which was produced from 2005 to 2008. The package starts with a R32 HPG turbo kit and a 3-inch sport exhaust system with valve control. After performance tuning, the Golf’s 3.2L engine makes a whopping 458 horsepower and 405 lb.-ft. of torque. That’s an amazing increase of over 210 horsepower and over 165 lb.-ft. of torque. To handle all that extra power, the tuning companies reinforced the DSG transmission.

The tuning doesn’t stop there. With the package, The Golf V also receives a KW Clubsport suspension kit, H&R stabilizers, and a Stoptech brake package. All the old bushings are replaced with Superpro bushings. The matte blue VW MR Car Design used to highlight their performance parts got fitted with 19-inch OZ Ultraleggera HLT matte alloy wheels wrapped in 225/35/ZR19 high performance tires.[...]

A year after Hamann wowed the Geneva Motor Show with their program for the Mercedes SLS AMG called the "Hamann Hawk", the tuning company is coming back with the drop-top version of the Mercedes supercar.

It’s been no secret as to how adept these guys are with Mercedes vehicles and this program for the SLS AMG Roadster is no different. Aesthetically, Hamann fitted the supercar with the usual aerodynamic enhancements, including a front apron that replaces the serial bumper and a new LED light set-up. The SLS AMG Roadster also gets enlarged air inlets that provide more fresh air to the engine. There’s also a new bonnet made of checkered flag carbon, wider wings that add 60mm on the front side and 70mm on the rear side, new side skirts, a new rear apron with a matching diffuser, and a new set of 21" Unique Forged Anodized light forged wheels.[...]

Q by Aston Martin

Ferrari is doing it now. So is McLaren.

Upscale automakers are turning to personalization programs as their new novelty offering to customers. Now it appears that Aston Martin wants a piece of the action.

The British automaker is jumping into the bandwagon with the introduction of the "Q by Aston Martin" personalization program at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. According to Aston, the program is being started as a way to offer premium service that "goes beyond the standard palette of paint, leather and trim finishes."

Mostly covering exterior and interior styling, the Q by Aston Martin program is offering a grocery list of modifications that allows customers the opportunity to design their Aston Martins according to their preferences.

To give the audience at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show a preview of their program, Aston Martin will use an Aston Martin Virage and an Aston Martin Cygnet to showcase the customizable potential of the Q by Aston Martin program.

The Virage, in particular, will be finished in a bespoke Mariana Blue satin paint finish to go with an interior that comes giddy with blue carbon fiber, saddle leather floor mats, yellow detailing, a header-mounted track-day HD video camera, a luggage rack, and a forged, diamond turned wheel.[...]

Hamann EvoqueGerman tuner Hamann knew that it had to step out of its comfort zone of mainly targeting BMWs and Mercedes cars to create its own package for he Range Rover Evoque, which will likely become a very popular car to customize.

And they did just that, as besides the mental 720 horsepower BMW M5 we showed you earlier, they will launch a complete program for the new SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. Besides the crazy body kit, there's also a power boost of 31 hp and 65 Nm just for the diesel, as well as... [...]

Sportec 2012 Porsche 911The latest tuning company to target the 991 generation of the Porsche 911 is Sportec, which offers a entry-level modification package for the rear-engined coupe. The Swiss tuner offers a custom exhaust system that comes with high-flow catalytic converters, as well as a performance air filter and an ECU remap. Thus, the flat six now delivers an extra 20 hp and 25 Nm (18.5 lb-ft).

Audi A8 by HofelleThe Audi A8 D4 has received a complete modification progress from German tuner Hofelle Design, with the package targeting the exterior, interior, as well as the tech side of the sedan.

The 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine has been boosted from 372 to 390 hp, while the 4.2-liter V8 TDI diesel unit now delivers 390 hp instead of 350, while allowing its driver to play with a monstrous torque of 900 Nm.
