Porsche 911 Speedster Art Car by Miguel ParedesOver the years, the Porsche 911 has proven that it can be many things, with one of the most unusual uses for this car being that of a canvas. The 2011 911 Speedster art car you see in the adjacent images was created by famous artist Miguel Paredes in collaboration with Champion Porsche for the 2011 Art Basel.

The event, which was held in Miami, displayed a total of over 260 galleries from North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa, bringing over 2,000 works that belong to artist of... [...]

BMW 1-Series M Coupe by Prior DesignAs you know, even though the new F20 BMW 1-Series is here, the E82 Coupe and E88 Convertible will still be around for a while, which means that tuners will continue to offer goodies for them.

In fact, this is why we're here, to talk about such a development: German aftermarket developer Prior Design is offering an exterior styling package that brings the appearance of the 1M to any 1-Series Coupe.

Dubbed PDM1, the package seems to come with an excellent level of attention to detail, includ...[...]

Lamborghini Gallardo Exhaust by BBi Autosport ComingThe Lamborghini Gallardo is one of the oldest supercars still on the market, but this doesn't keep Lambo itself and tuners from releasing new goodies for the vehicle. We'll focus on the latter part, with the freshest aftermarket development for the V10 Lambo coming from BBi Autosport.

The Californian tuner is currently working on an exhaust system for the Gallardo and has shared two images of the development with us. The company usually works on vehicles wearing the Porsche brand, so it is no...[...]

Audi RS5 in Matte Baby BluA few days ago, a set of image of a green chrome BMW 5-Series surfaced on the web, taking the world by surprise. However, the vehicle is not for all tastes, even if we are talking about people who like unusual finishes on cars.

Thus, we've decided to return with a new proposal (we must thank J & G Spanish Spotter's for the photo), that also takes things far in terms of automotive eye candy, but uses a totally different approach.

The vehicle used as a base this time is an Audi RS5, a natura... [...]

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 by Late Model Racecraft

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the fastest Corvette that has ever been offered by Chevrolet, but even a 205 mph sports car can be improved if you know where to make the right modifications. American tuner, Late Model Racecraft of Houston, Texas knows just how to do that and has proven it by creating the fastest Corvette ZR1 known to man.

By adding a new twin-turbo system and a new exhaust system, as well as making some other changes to the LS9 supercharged 6.2 liter V-8 engine, the tuner has managed to increase the ZR1’s output to a mouthwatering 1500 HP, all delivered at the wheels! This makes the 638 HP of the standard ZR1 look like chump change.

With the extra power, this special Corvette ZR1 achieved the quarter mile in 9.68 seconds at 147 mph, making it the fastest Corvette in the world. Unfortunately, the record has not been backed up by the Guinness Book, but the numbers do make a hell of a claim all on their own.[...]

Porsche 911 by Champion Motorsport

With news that the last remaining American troops have officially left Iraq, a lot of people are celebrating the fact that our brave soldiers are finally coming home, just in time, at least for some people, for these men and women to celebrate the holiday season with their families.

US tuning company, Champion Motorsport, is preparing a special Porsche 911 as a "tribute to those heroic Americans that the military will return home to spend the Christmas holidays." The one-off 911 was produced by Champion Motorsport in collaboration with the Department of Defense and the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) of Florida.

Making this particular 911 unique from every other of its kind is that its been dressed with the same camouflage that the military uses in their uniforms and desert steppe. On top of that, the rear profile of the 911 has been enhanced by a number of new aerodynamic components while a new set of black RS98 Forged Monolithic alloy wheels with chrome edging have also been fitted to complement the car’s military look. Meanwhile, the interior of the one-off 911 comes with a predominant beige upholstery, further giving credence to the true theme of the German sports car.[...]

Audi A1 Quattro with 256hpAudi has officially presented the meanest and baddest production version of its A1 series yet, aptly called the A1 Quattro. Both its name and styling details such as the white colored alloy wheels clearly draw on Audi's rallying heritage.

The first ever quattro version of Audi's premium supermini, which was previously thought to be named RS 1, will be produced in a limited run of just 333 units with sales to start in the second half of 2012.

Powering Ingolstadt's hot hatch is a tuned 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection and turbocharging technologies that produces 256HP at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 350 Nm (258.2 lb-ft) continuously available between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm.[...]

Maybach Xenatec 57S CoupeThe adjacent video shows the Maybach57S Coupe conversion in all its glory, offering us both static and dynamic scenes of the Cruserio (this is how Xenatech calls its creation).

This car, which is based on a Maybach 57S sedan, gives you an idea of what Maybach cars could have looked like it the company had been properly managed by Mercedes-Benz.

However, Xenatec make have a story that's about to become just as sad as Maybach's one. While the latter is going to be shut down, it seems that Xe... [...]

Mercedes E-Class L by Prior Design

The Mercedes E-Class L certainly doesn’t lack in luxury. But when you look at it, you have to admit that it still needs a little sprucing up to really deliver home the point that it’s a luxury limousine that shouldn’t be messed with.

The boys at Prior Design pretty much think the same way, so they did something that we couldn’t do from the comforts of our couch: they actually developed an aerodynamic kit to give the E-Class L a little more attitude.

Among the modifications Prior Design gave to the E-Class L include a new front bumper, a pair of new side skirts, a new rear bumper, a new set of 20" alloy wheels, and a new suspension set-up that improves the luxury saloon’s handling and characteristics.[...]
