Ferrari 599 GTO, Mercedes G55 and Bentley GTWe really don't know what to think, but the internet is buzzing with pictures of cars livered in the colors of the United Arab Emirates flag right now. The word on the street is that they this is happening because it's the young nation's 40th national anniversary, and fireworks alone just wouldn't cut it.... how wonderful!

Our friend 4WheelsofLux, the Dubai supercar spotter, says there's even a 40th National Day Ferrari parade coming tomorrow. How awesome is that, and how annoying is it that ... [...]

Alpina B6 BiturboThe second Alpina-tuned BMW to make its debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show is more about combining performance with luxury, unlike the radical B3 GT3 edition we showed you earlier. The handsome convertible brute we shot at the Japanese even is called the B6 BiTurbo and it's based on the BMW 650i.

The big news is that the cruiser is powered by a tuned 4.4-liter aluminum block turbo V8 engine that has been taken to the max with the help of a new intercooler and titanium exhaust system develop... [...]

Alpina B3 GT3Alpina is shouting Forget the new BMW 3-Series! at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, as the German tuner is giving us the world debut of the B3 GT3, with the vehicle being a racer for the road.

The B3 GT3, which uses the E92 BMW 3-Series Coupe as a starting point, is powered by an evolution of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six of the Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo. We get a new exhaust system that uses an Akrapovic titanium rear silencer, offering the engine an extra 8 hp. The unit now delivers 408 hp at ... [...]

Alpina B3 GT3The racing-inspired Alpina B3 GT3 managed to gather a lot of attention at the Tokyo Motor Show, including our own, so here we are with a set of photos that show the car in all its glory. We'll remind you that under that green bonnet, we have a 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight six that has been tweaked to produce 408 hp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 398 lb-ft at 4,500 rpm.

The coupe can leave the 62 mph mark behind in 4.6 seconds and, if the driver keeps busing the pedal on the right, offers ... [...]

Toyota MR2Visitors at this week's 2011 Tokyo Motor Show will have the chance to see Toyota's MR2 roadster-based GRMN SPORTS HYBRID Concept II in the flesh.

Developed by Toyota and its motorsports partner Gazoo Racing, the prototype made its debut at this year?s 24-hour endurance race at the Nürburgring in Germany.

For those of you wondering, "GRMN" is an acronym for ?Gazoo Racing tuned by the Meister of the Nürburgring,? the latter being a nickname for Toyota?s late test driver Hiromu Naruse who died in an accident last summer while driving a prototype of the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition.

The GRMN SPORTS HYBRID Concept II is a development of last year's racing prototype that was based on production MR-2. The second iteration of Toyota's hybrid sports car features a brand new body while also improving upon the first concept on the powertrain front.[...]

Hennessey Venom GT Spyder

The sleek and sexy Hennessey Venom GT became a successful model in a very short time and Hennessey is hoping to repeat that success with an open top version of the same sports car. The new Hennessey Venom GT Spyder will be offered with a removable top and will only be produced in a limited run of five units, two of which have already been spoken for. Deliveries will begin in Summer 2012 and prices will start from $1.1 million, about $150,000 more than the Coupe’s top version.

The Venom GT Spyder will be powered by the same Chevrolet sourced V8 engine found in the Coupe with an output of 1,200 HP at 6,500 rpm and 1,155 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. Because of the added weight from the removable roof, performance numbers should be a tad bit slower than the Coupe, which sprints from 0-60 mph in 2.5 seconds and to 200 mph in 15.9 seconds, on its way up to a top speed of 275 mph. The engine will more than likely send its power to the rear wheels via a Ricardo 6-speed gearbox and handling will be facilitated by a KW variant three-adjustable coilover suspension.

As far as its design goes, the Venom GT Spyder will start off with the Lotus Elise base and will follow along the same extreme design lines as its Coupe sibling. We imagine it will also feature the same active aero system with adjustable rear wing that will deploy under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack.[...]

BMW B3 GT3 by Alpina

Noted BMW tuning company, Alpina, has come out with a pair of new programs for 2012 BMW models. One of the models is for the 2012 3-Series, which they’re dubbing as the ’B3 GT3.’ The comprehensive tuning program includes aerodynamic, suspension, and performance modifications, offering fans of the iconic 3-Series a smorgasbord of improvements on the sports coupe.

For the aerodynamic program, Alpina fitted the 3-Series with a carbon fiber front splitter that has been mounted under the car’s front spoiler, as well as new dive plates that were added on the side of the car’s front valence. The rear end of the 3-Series also got some improvements in the form of a carbon wing and a new rear diffuser, and the package is completed by a new wheel and tire setup consisting of a new set of 19" Alpina GT3 Classic lightweight alloys wheels wrapped in a choice of either Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup+ tires. Inside, the improvements were limited to a new black leather finish with matching Alcantara and Recaro sport seats.

As one of the most popular BMW tuners in the world, Alpina has made a name for itself for their outstanding engine upgrades. Their work on the 2012 B3 GT3 is no different, thanks to a modified exhaust system and a titanium new rear silencer that added juice to the car’s already modified 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. The result is an output of 402 horsepower and 398 lb/ft of torque, numbers that are good enough to hit 0-62 mph in just 4.6 seconds.ш...щ

Lamborghini Gallardo LED Glowing RimsJust when you thought you've seen them all, you browse youtube and come a across a video that shows a Lambo with rims that glow in the dark... We know that the Gallardo is the best sold Lambo model, but this unit will certainly stand out in the crowd.

The footage, recorded by Youtube user cvdzijden, brings us a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (yes, we know, a lot of double letters), that comes with a set of rims which uses special LED circles mounted just outside the exterior of the brake r... [...]

Volkswagen Multivan GTIPlease excuse us for focusing on the fact that the new range-topping Multivan Business is not aonly avaialble with the usual TDIs, but also with the 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged, direct-injected engine that can also be found on the Golf GTI.

We've had a really good (and practival) time when we tested the VW Multivan, so we could only imagine what this car would be like with 204 hp (the Euro spec GTI offers 210 hp). In fact, this is one of the most tuning-friendly engines on the market, with a m... [...]

Toyota 86 Sports Track Competition by TRD

It took around three years for the Toyota 86 sports coupe to be officially unveiled. And now that it’s here, the wait for a race-spec version of the sports car appears to be much shorter.

At the Gazoo Racing Festival - where the Toyota 86 was officially unveiled - two race-spec versions of the car also made appearances, both of which were tuned by Toyota’s in-house racing arm, TRD.

The first and less modified of the two is called the 86 "N0." Not a lot of details have been revealed at the moment, but photos taken by Japanese website Response revealed a few intriguing details about the model. To begin with, both the N0 and the N1 appear to be full-spec racing cars modified for track purposes. The former is the less modified of the two and doesn’t come with the carbon fiber rear spoiler on the N1, but still looks like it’s got the full checklist of racing paraphernalia down pat, including a race-spec exhaust system, a set of Volk Racing TE37 bronze wheels, and a full roll cage on the interior.[...]
