Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 by Lingenfelter

Chevrolet is currently up to their elbows preparing the seventh generation Corvette, but since that final product is still a few years away, tuning companies have taken the opportunity to give customers’ cars the kind of refreshing transformation they need to stay current. Thankfully, American tuning firm, Lingenfelter, has taken the Corvette ZR1 under their wing for a killer engine upgrade, with three possible outputs to choose from.

These three upgrades are all based off of an LS9 supercharger engine upgrade, but the more money the customer wants to put into his Corvette, the better the result can be. For just $2,995, customers can get 680 HP with professional engine modifications, testing, and PCM tuning. Spend $5,295 and customers can revel in 710 HP glory, as well as a Lingenfelter cast aluminum supercharger front cover assembly and some optional upgrades (at an additional cost). The top of the line tuning upgrade brings out a whopping 750 HP and can be had for $12,895. For that, customers will also get engine removal and removal of supercharger assembly, cylinder heads, and camshaft; Lingenfelter CNC porting and polishing of LS9 cylinder heads for optimal flow; Lingenfelter multi-angle valve job, cc chambers, surfacing, and spring height adjustment; among other things.[...]

Wiesmann MF5 V10 Black Bat by SchwabenFolia

If you’ve never heard of German tuning company, SchwabenFolia, then you’re not alone. Having said that, they sure did a heck of a job introducing themselves to the tuning world with a unique program for the Wiesmann MF5 V10.

The exterior work done on the car underscores the name it was given - Black Bat. It is highlighted by a matte black finish with foil covers on the door panels, inner hood, engine room, and trunk. The stealthy finish on the exterior of the MF5 V10 is further complimented by a new set of 20" forged wheels painted in black wrapped in high performance tires with 6-piston calipers and discs on the front and 4-piston calipers and discs on the rear from Brembo.

As for the engine, SchwabenFolia managed to tweak the MF5 V10’s already powerful BMW-sourced 5.0-liter V10 engine, thanks to a new dual exhaust stainless steel sports exhaust system, a 3-way catalytic converter, and a reconstructed air filtration system. The result is a performance boost that saw the output of the sports car rise from 560 horsepower all the way up to 600 horsepower with a 0-62 mph time of just 3.5 seconds and an increased top speed of 201 mph.[...]

1967 Volvo Amazon WagonClassic Volvo wagons are known for many things and being perfect starting points for sleeper projects is one of them. The adjacent videos comes to demonstrate this, showing a 1967 Volvo Amazon that enters a rolling start drag race with one of the hottest supercars of the moment, the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Yes, we know, this Volvo doesn't fall into the sleeper category 100 percent, as the large rims and brakes could make other drivers suspicious, but nobody would expect this wagon to leave a 458 ... [...]

REIL Performance Porsche 911The Porsche 911 GT3 is one of those performance cars that are probably better left in stock form, but as we all know, the German tuning industry knows no boundaries.

Chevrolet Corvette Supercharged ZR-59

One of the vehicles to catch our attention at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show was the one-off Supercharged ZR-59, a tuning project mixing the classic 1959 Corvette with design elements and technology from the current Corvette ZR1. The project - spearheaded by Cal West Customs and Palmers Customs - was developed to give a classic sports car the feel and rumble of a modern day supercar.

The Chevrolet Supercharged ZR-59 took over a year to be created. It started as a chassis with a stock corvette body and then Art Morrison provided a custom chassis for the project which was then covered with a hand-built metal and fiber glass body. The body includes hand-built side and fender moldings shaped from brass and a custom built stainless gas tank. A set of Nutek three-piece forged aluminum rims complete the exterior look. The interior gets a hand-fabricated dash, center console, and gauge cluster. It took tons of planning and concept, but the final product is the slick sports car in these images.[...]
