Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe by Domanig

The Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe is one of those cars that really doesn’t need a tuning upgrade, but if there’s a company that’s willing to make a program for it, then we’re all for it. Domanig doesn’t make our pages often, but with their new program for the C63 AMG, it definitely deserves to be talked about.

For starters, the Mercedes sports coupe was given a couple of aerodynamic parts, including a a new carbon fiber front spoiler, a blacked out roof, and a new rear diffuser. The finishing touch is a new set of special edition 20" forged DOM03 type wheels with a star in the body color and outer rims in black high-gloss polished stainless steel, wrapped around Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires. The C63 AMG Coupe also gets a new KW suspension system and interior trims and accents.[...]

Honda Civic Si by Bisimoto Engineering

If you want to talk about taking a mild-mannered 2012 Honda Civic Si and tuning it up to a whole new level, you might have found the car that will serve as inspiration for your over-the-top fantasies. Bisimoto Engineering, an aftermarket company based in Ontario, California and run by Bisi Ezerioha, has prepared a completely modified Civic Si for the 2011 SEMA Auto Show.

You know how there are always those cars in SEMA that just blow you away because of the sheer audacity and lunacy behind its program? This is one of them, and for all the right, albeit crazy, reasons. Bisimoto designed this car to be the ultimate-do-everything racer. It can drag race, it can hit the touring scene, and it can even do a little time-attack. So how is it capable of all that considering that the stock version of the Civic Si "only" carries a 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower?[...]

Toyota Tacoma by Long Beach Racers

Toyota will be unveiling the limited edition 2012 Tacoma TRD T in 2012, but for those that are a bit impatient, Long Beach Racers have unveiled their Tacoma package - a customized vehicle inspired by the Baja Series pick-up.

The Toyota Tacoma received a full makeover from Long Beach Racers with a TIG welded, SCORE approved roll cage with the Long Beach Racers trademark ?low profile? rear cage design to keep the rear view clean. This high tech roll cage will be joined by custom Bilstein 60mm race shocks and 35-inch BFGoodrich Project Tires on 16-inch TRD Baja Series wheels. Hella HID lights on custom mounts on the bumper will help lights the way while PCI Race Radio and intercom systems in place of the exterior mirrors will facilitate communication.

The interior of the Tacoma by Long Beach Racers also received a few extras, including Mastercraft race seats, harnesses, and window nets, a Defined Engineering Spring-Under kit, and CMI Carbon Fiber skidplates. Performance gets improved with the use of an MBRP Exhaust system, a 50 gallon fuel cell, a TRD Big Brake kit, and a custom wrap that incorporates the TX Baja Series graphic concept.[...]

BBR Mazda3 MPSLook at it from a distance and you'll think it's just another five-door hatch, but come a bit closer and the Mazda3 MPS starts to look a bit like a kipper wale on steroids. Despite not benefiting from a major rethink in a long time, the MPS still has a lot of fans in the hothatch industry, and it's time to look at a tuning project that could change the game.

BBR is a Mazda tuner that has just revealed a bunch of changes for the 3 that can take the output of the 2.3-liter all the way to 350 hp... [...]

Mazda5 Mazda Raceway Laguna SecaIf you weren't impressed by a couple of Mazda2 and MX-5 concepts that came to SEMA this year, maybe a hot version of the Mazda5 minivan will change the way you feel.

This strange mix between family practicality and racy graphics is called the Mazda5 Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca support vehicle. The car offers a bunch of strange graphics on the side that upon closer inspection reveal themselves as being the actual track.

The Mazda5 now sits on a set of flat-black-painted 19-inch Mazda RX-8 R3-...[...]

Ford Raptor by JPM Coachworks

The 2011 SEMA Auto Show is all about seeing some creative and well-built one-off machines and this Ford Raptor SVT SuperCrew fits right in that mold.

Built as a collaboration project by JPM Coachworks, Addictive Desert Design, High Desert Mobile, and Hennessey Performance, this Ford Raptor was turned into quite a menacing beast, and that’s high praise considering that it was already a powerful machine in its own right.

For the exterior design, Addictive Desert Designs gave the Raptor an extensive body package comprising of Stealth front and rear bumpers to go with Rigid LED lighting. The exterior also comes with a new set of Fuel Hostage wheels wrapped around Goodyear MTR Kevlar rubber tires, as well as a new custom dual-exhaust system courtesy of Spintech Muffler. As for the interior, that was taken cared for by JPM Coachworks, who dressed it up in Alcantara and a Royal Hides from Edelman leather treatment, while High Desert Mobile provided the truck with a high-tech audio system.[...]

SEMA Hatchbacks

Hatchbacks may not offer the same kind of thrill as sports cars and muscle cars. They also don’t have the utility of SUVs and pick-ups. Heck, they’re not so much for luxury, either. But at the 2011 SEMA Auto Show, hatchbacks will have their turn in the spotlight as a host of custom-modded hatches will be making their way to Las Vegas.

This list comprises most of the vehicles you’ll see. There are Scions iQs, Ford Fiestas, Ford Focus, and even a Lexus CT200h. Not only are these vehicles modded to the brim, but they also give us an idea on all the possibilities that come with aftermarket works being done on hatches.

The people who think that hatches aren’t cool enough should take a good look at this list and if they don’t change their minds, then they really need to check themselves before they wreck themselves.[...]

Lotus Evora R2R by Galpin Auto Sports

We reckon Galpin Auto Sports needed a break from all those customized Ford vehicles they’re bringing to the 2011 SEMA Auto Show so they turned their attention towards a few sports cars from across the pond. One of these vehicles is a 2012 Lotus Evora, which GAS took the challenge of reinventing from a road-going sports car into a fully-dressed track-spec race car.

The result is the Evora R2R, a car that features plenty of aerodynamic upgrades, including a new front splitter, a new rear wing, new side skirts made from aluminum, black racing decals, racing seats dressed in fine Alcantara, and a new set of 19" (front) and 20" (rear) flat-back racing wheels.

To uphold its new race car identity, Galpin Auto Sports also added a new Flowmaster exhaust system, clearing way for the sports car’s 3.5-liter V6 engine to receive an increased output of 300 horsepower, up from the 280-horsepower output of the standard road-going roadster.[...]
