It won't come as much of a surprise to learn that Toyota's Scion brand is planning to bring several souped-up and conceptual versions of its new iQ mini to the 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas next week.

After being originally revealed around the world with Toyota's badges and later on, with Aston Martin's name on its hood, the iQ reached U.S. shores as a Scion earlier this month, so it's only reasonable that the Japanese carmaker wants to create some buzz around the car.[...]

The Ford Mustang has gone through multiple styling changes in the 50 years it has been on the market and there are times when the muscle car’s classic look is still preferred. That being said, try finding a 60’s Mustang in excellent condition that some old timer doesn’t have bubble-wrapped in his garage. Chances are, you won’t find one at an affordable price. You can look for ages, or just take your brand new 2012 Mustang GT and give it a retro makeover. Twenty-three year old, John Heerman did just that and is bringing his one-off Retro Stang to the 2011 SEMA Auto Show next week.

The Ford Mustang GT Retro Stang is modeled after a 1968 Mustang and features a 14" longer hood and ’68 and ’69 Mustang sheetmetal hand grafted into the nose, tail, and rear quarter panels. The rocker panels are also custom made and the headlights, doors, and rear fender caps were hand built from scratch by Heermann. The exterior transformations also benefited from a raised back glass to give the car a fastback look.

Mechanically-speaking, the Retro Stang was equipped with a set of Dynatech long-tube headers and X-Pipe, a JLT cold air-intake, an APR carbon fiber engine cover, and an SCT tune.[...]

 

Well, that didn’t take long now did it? The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 isn’t even a month old yet and German tuner, DMC Design, has scooped one up and added its own touches to make the supercar even more spectacular than it already is.

The first tuning package for the Aventador is called "Allegro" and includes a few exterior modifications that further tweak the exterior of the supercar. For starters, a new Carbon Fiber rear wing has been added that takes its design inspiration from a mixture of the Sesto Elemento and the LP670 models. The new wing can be had in a glossy or matte surface finish. DMC is also offering a new front wing spoiler, a carbon fiber rear wing, new side skirts, and a corner spoiler to add more of an aggressive look to the vehicle. Of course, that’s kind of like adding more water to the ocean, but we still like the overall result of their additions.

Now, since the Lamborghini Aventador is already carrying a 6.5-liter V12 engine with an AWD layout that produces 700 HP at 8,250 rpm and 509 lb-ft at 5,500 rpm, DMC felt little need rework anything under the hood. Apparently, they think a top speed of 217 mph is more than enough too.[...]

As you can imagine, aftermarket wheel producers have the occasion to meet special cars everyday, so if you're willing to see an impressive ride, just ask such a developer.

Here is an answer coming from US tuning wheels specialist D2Forged: a 1,600 hp Chevrolet Corvette! (we must thank luxury4play for the post).

The vehicle was tweaked by LateModel Racecraft, has received a twin0turbo Warhawk motor and was fitted wit a Z06 wideboy kit.

The Ford Mustang is arguably one of the most customized cars on the market today and you can expect the muscle car to come to the 2011 SEMA Auto Show in many forms.

One of the more unique Mustangs to be displayed in SEMA is the 4T-GT "Mango Tango" by Kenny Brown. The core ingredient of the Brown’s customized Mustang is the GT-4 Chassis and Suspension Package, considered by most as one of the best tuning programs on the market today. In addition to that, Brown will also be outfitting his Mustang with a bi-turbo system that is expected to drive up the muscle car’s output past its standard configuration.

Other notable additions to the Mustang 4T-GT include a fresh "Mango Orange" paint set-up, a sport rally bar for added support, Sparco racing seats and harnesses, a 6-piston Baer brake system, and a new set of Weld Racing lightweight RTS wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires.[...]

The MINI Clubman S has been turned into an audio project car by Germana amplifiers and loudspeakers producer MAC Audi, with the result being visible in the adjacent images.

Mac Audi brought a watt hurricane inside the car, by installing the following components:

* 12 sq meters of Dynamat Xtreme insulating material
* Mac Audio Star X 2.16 front and rear loudspeakers system, installed in custom door panels
* Handmade 90-liter bass enclosure fitted with 3 x Mac Audio STX Reference-Woofers [...]

We understand the desire to see a Jeep pickup, but we're not quite sure that a Range Rover one would be such a good idea. However, it seems that the creators of the vehicle you can see in the adjacent image (scooped by GT Spirit) think they know best.

Hurst, Street Scene Equipment, Dodge, and SEMA have teamed up to build a custom Dodge Charger that will be auctioned on eBay with all proceeds going to SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund. The auction ends on October 28, 2011, just in time for the winner to take advantage of the additional SEMA ticket prize. This particular Dodge Charger will actually be the only one Hurst will customize this year.

The Dodge Charger Hurst Edition will be equipped with Hurst wheels and tires, an Eibach suspension setup, a Flowmaster exhaust, and Hurst badges for the exterior. The badges will also find their way inside of the car, along with Katzkin leather interior with red and black Hurst logos in the headrests, a Hurst shifter, Hurst floor mats from Star West, and a Grant steering wheel. The list of equipment will include an 8.4" Uconnect Touch infotainment system and a navigation/Rear back up camera.[...]
