The Dodge Durango may not be one of our first candidates as far as tuning programs are concerned - we reserved that right for the Viper - but we certainly aren’t complaining with what Mopar Underground did with this SEMA-bound special edition Dodge Durango Tow Hook.

Immediately, the SUV’s four-coat orange and satin-black color scheme attracted our attention, as did the healthy infusion of styling upgrades done on the SUV. In addition to the fancy pants paint finish, the Durango Tow Hook also gets a piano black split-crosshair grille, a satin-black roof, fascia accents, hood graphics, and a set of 22" twin-spoke forged Superalloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. The Dodge SUV also has a custom and performance-increasing mandrel bent exhaust system featuring Corsa components and a lowered suspension that cuts the SUV’s ride height by 25 mm.[...]

The Ram 392 Quick Silver is a testament on how you can add some serious character to an otherwise ’regular’ Ram R/T, all thanks to Mopar Underground. As Chrysler’s in-house tuning department, Mopar dressed up a Ram R/T for the SEMA Auto Show, complete with aesthetic and performance improvements.

The exterior of the 392 Quick Silver comes with a gloss black roof and a three-stage Bright Silver finish that’s complemented by anodized red paint on the mirrors, wheels, and grille inserts. Mopar Underground also put in a reverse deep-cowl aluminum hood with functional heat extractors and smoked lenses that act as "covers" for the pick-up’s exterior lighting. The 392 Quick Silver also boasts of a Mopar hard tonneau cover that carries an integrated spoiler and finally, a set of 22" Mopar wheels round out the exterior package of the tricked out pick-up.

As for the interior, the 392 Quick Silver boasts of high-bolster SRT seats dressed in Katzkin leather with red stitching and accents. Likewise, the steering wheel, shift knob, door panels, and center console trim also carry the same leather and red stitching combination. Entertainment was also carried out by Mopar with the addition of new Kicker speakers that with tweeters and woofers to make for excellent music blasting.[...]

DSO Eyewear is clearly not a new automaker looking to steal the scene, but they are experts in developing sunglasses. What does this have to do with the 2011 SEMA Auto Show? Well, DSO Eyewear has teamed up with Ford to work on a customized Ford Explorer. According to the companies’ initial statements, their Explorer was inspired by current fashion trends and embraces an active sports urban lifestyle.

The new Explorer by DSO Eyewear features a cool BASF Pearl Tri-Coat White paint with black chrome detailing on the exterior to give the car a contemporary look. The exterior also gets a new set of Niche 24-inch three-piece wheels that are combined with a lowered suspension. The exterior gives way to the interior showcasing Katzkin Midnight Tuscany leather with perforated Raven Suede accents. The lighting is high-tech, with Advanced Automotive Concepts custom LED headlamps.[...]

Ford’s presence at the upcoming SEMA Show won’t be just about customizing models like the Fiesta and the Focus. The American automaker is also pitching packages for the bigger families based on the new Ford Explorer. The SUV may not be as fun as the previously mentioned hatchbacks, but it still plays an important part in Ford’s line-up in Las Vegas.

One of the more impressive update packages comes from Stitchcraft Interiors and is called the "Business Edition." As its name suggests, the car is all about offering a more luxurious interior for high-demanding customers. This idea was achieved with Alcantara leather seating, interior accents, door panels, and Orion Car Audio amps, speakers, and wiring. Stitchcraft Interiors also matched study trays to the interior and accents. The exterior is painted in a Seaside Collision two-tone paint scheme with charcoal and orange side graphics.[...]

Sports cars and SUVs tend to provide the perfect platform for tuning firms. On the flip-side to that are pickup trucks, which don’t really get a vast number of opportunities to get spruced up unless they are headed to the SEMA Auto Show. Case in point is Ford’s of customized F-150 models that will be taking up showroom floor in Vegas this year. The first of which has been developed in cooperation with CGS Performance Products and goes by the name "Tarmac."

The F-150 Tarmac Concept pick-up offers unique and sleek styling with a custom aluminum hood, DuPont Jet Black paint and Boyd Red finish by Andy Meeh, a Paramount restyling grille, and Colorado Custom billet wheels. For the interior, the tuner is offering red leather from Pecca Leather, VizuaLogic headrest monitors, and Seat Belt Planet red seat belts.

All the minor restyling aside, the real star of this program is the powertrain and chassis improvements. Both have received a boost from a CGS Performance with a cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake, a Whipple twin-screw supercharger, a Bell Tech front coilover suspension, and six-piston Baer brakes with 15-inch rotors.[...]

Project Kahn is introducing a series of updates for its Vesuvius range, which includes multiple developments based on the Range Rover Sport.

Customers can now get the new package, which includes a metallic black finish with a wide central stripe that can be specified in the desireb colors (some of the shades can be seen in the adjacent images) and Kahn RS lightweight alloy rims that come in a 22-inch size.

Now that Fiat and Chrysler have united their destinies, the little 500, which is trying to conquer the American public, will also be brought to the upcoming SEMA event, with the Italian carmaker now teasing two custom incarnations of the car: the 500 Titanium, which you can (almost) see in the adjacent image and the 500 Carbon.

Mopar, Chrysler's parts and accessories division will bring titanium-finished exterior details, using a dark overall look. Inside the car, we'll find a pair of bucket ...[...]
