When you hear the names "Chevrolet" and "SEMA", a V8 engine is the first thing that comes to mind. That is correct, but less than 50 percent.
What do we mean by that? Well, at this year's SEMA, 60 percent of the Chevy models will be tuned incarnations of the Sonic and Cruze.
GM is planning a true small car feast, and it will display no less than 20 Sonics, all being fitted with the turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, using Brembo braking systems and new suspension kits, as [...]

The Nissan GT-R is a car that can fill the Internet alone, with one of its most important sides being the aftermarket-related one. Even though Nissan doesn't want its supercar to be touched by tuners, they are more than happy to play with Godzilla.
The latest GT-R project, which is also an extreme one, comes from Japanese company BenSopra, which has announced a monster GT-R for the 2012 Tokyo Auto Show.
So, what will we meet in January? a 1,000 hp Godzilla. That's right, the twin-turbo 3.8... [...]

While we are getting ready to cover next week's SEMA aftermarket show in Las Vegas, Fox Marketing decided to give us a sneak peek of its highly modified 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe.
The tuning firm says that the main focus of the build is to demonstrate the "reliability, and performance capability from Honda's new K24Z7 power plant" with an intercooled turbo kit that along with numerous other improvements, pushes the four-cylinder unit's output to over 450-horses.[...]

One of the most popular cars to attend SEMA last year was the Chevrolet Camaro thanks to countless tuning companies that brought their iteration of the popular Chevrolet muscle car to the world’s biggest auto aftermarket show.
The Camaro’s mass showing last year earned it the title of being the "hottest car" of the event and from the looks of things, it appears that the Camaro will be back in force this year, ready to defend its crown.
One of the first to reveal their plans of bringing a Camaro to SEMA comes from Whiteside Customs, Inc, a Texas-based aftermarket tuning company that will finally present their long-awaited program for the Chevy muscle car. We say ’long-awaited’ because the whole program is two years in the making, giving Whiteside Customs plenty of time to not only prepare to show the car off at SEMA, but to also ready it to take down the Nissan GT-R. After all those months of laborious work, the folks over at Whiteside Customs are now finally ready to reveal their Camaro program.
Full details behind the project are still being kept under wraps, although Mike White of Whiteside Customs did say that the Camaro will carry in excess of 500 horsepower, courtesy of a twin-turbo kit from RX Performance. Other tidbits about the project that have been revealed include a new exhaust system from ARK Performance, a custom suede steering wheel from Ace Custom Steering, and a custom suede interior from Katzkin Leather, among other things.[...]

We've just tested the Range Rover Evoque and discovered that underneath its coupe skin and SUV ride height, lies a hot hatch (in the 240 hp petrol version we tested). Even though its exterior design is its most extreme aspect, being way above average in general, it seems that British tuning specialist Merdad considers it needs even more aggressive styling cues.
Thus, the tuner is is introducing its version of the Evoque coupe/ Dubbed Mer-Nazz, the vehicle comes with redesigned front and rear ... [...]

It’s only a teaser photo, although it’s one that has definitely gotten our attention. The GM sedan is dressed in a customized Dupont Sunburst Yellow paint finish and comes with a slew of modifications, including a new LED headlight set-up courtesy of Light Wurkz, as well as a new set of blue 19" Rotiform TMB wheels wrapped around Falked tires with matching yellow 6P Baer brakes. Inside, the Tijn Edition dressed up the Cruze with black leather seats and a new comprehensive audio set-up.[...]

Unlike any other auto show on the planet, the SEMA Auto Show isn’t so much about the glitz and glamor of concept cars and world debuts like other shows. SEMA is about seeing some of the latest tuning projects from the world’s best auto aftermarket companies be displayed in all their audacious glory.
One such vehicle that fits that description to a tee is this custom Ford F-150 Raptor by Street Concepts. The modded pick-up is part of Toyo Tires’ four-vehicle contingent and since its headed to the event, you can be sure that it comes packed to the brim with some of the latest tuning parts available on the market.
Among the many additions to the F-150 Raptor, the most obvious is the the custom Snow Camo vehicle wrap that was added in by Street Concepts. There are also new bumpers, a new lighting set-up, Brembo brakes, and a new suspension system courtesy of Icon Vehicle Dynamics. Inside the pick-up, the modifications include a carbon fiber-wrapped interior that’s accented with luxurious black Alcantara. Kia’s burgeoning quirky reputation is about to be taken to a whole new level at the coming SEMA Auto Show next month after announcing that they’re bringing six "sports-themed" projects to the world’s biggest aftermarket auto event.
We sincerely hope that we don’t see any rapping hamsters and from what we’ve been told, there won’t be any. Instead, the Korean automaker will be fielding a couple of custom-modded 2012 Kia Souls inspired by some of the world’s best athletes, including golf star Michelle Wie and NBA dynamo Blake Griffin.
In the case of the hotshot golfer, Kia dressed up the Soul - with the help of West Coast Customs - using the same colorful artwork she uses on her golf bags. In addition to that, the Soul also has a pair of golf bags, a flat-screen TV at the back, and a matching XBox Kinect, among other things.[...]
