The boys over at ADV.1 Wheels have been busy bees this month, haven’t they?

A few weeks ago, they set-up a Ferrari Enzo with a shiny new set of ADV5.2SL wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. Needless to say, the combination of those alloys with the allure of an Enzo makes for a mouth-watering package.

Now, they’re back with another new project, only this time, it’s for the Porsche 997 GT3 RS. It’s not the Ferrari Enzo, but Lord have mercy, it’s stunning nonetheless.

In addition to the awesome two-tone silver and black finish, ADV.1 Wheels added a new set of their 20" ADV7.1 rims - 20x8.5 at the front and 20x12 at theback - wrapped in a set of Pirelli tires. On top of that, the 997 GT3 RS also got a cool Brushed Gunmetal color trim, further adding a sizzle of sexy to an already sultry German sports car.[...]

HRE Performance Wheels is giving us its latest development, the new 790RS series, a goodie that was design to be used for top supercars.

We are talking about a set of three--piece wheel designs that come with a bold design language, aiming to offer an image booster to the supercars they are fittd to, even if these don't necessarily need one.

America's custom builders are working overtime these days, preparing for the upcoming SEMA event. However, there is one crew that seems to have discovered a secret way of boosting stamina: Tjin Edition.

The tuner has already announced two custom creations for this year's edition of SEMA, with these being based on the Ford Mustang 5.0 GT and on the 2012 Ford Explorer, and is now announcing a new pair of custom goodies.

The Fiat Coupe was never actually as fast as some owners would have wised, but, as if we were being translated into a perfect world, a Russian tuner called TotalRace has decided to make things right.

Thus, the two-door Fiat has been fitted with a powertrain borrowed from a Mitsubishi 3000 GT and then received an infinity of tweaks, which now allow it to deliver no less than 1,000 hp.

SEMA Show is not just for American tuners and their tuning packages. Wald International, the famous Japanese tuner has also confirmed their presence in Las Vegas with a tuning package based on the Mercedes-Benz R230 SL-Class. The model will be displayed courtesy of U.S. distributor Jonari Corporation.

 

The tuner said nothing about an engine upgrade, but the exterior has been heavily modified. Not in the best way if you ask us. However, the aerodynamic package includes: a front bumper fascia, front sports fenders, side skirts, rear bumper fascia, quarter panel wheel arch extensions and a trunk spoiler.[...]

Mighty, mighty, Aston Martins are always fun tuning subjects, especially if they come in the package of a DB9 Volante.

Already possessing a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 470 horsepower and 442 lb/ft of torque with a 0-60 mph sprint time of just 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 190 mph, the DB9 Volante was treated with a new tuning program courtesy of Britain’s very own, Project Kahn.

Known for their expertise in British vehicles, Project Kahn has tuned an Aston Martin or two in the past. This particular program for the DB9 Volante carries a bevy of modifications, including a new matte Pearl Grey finish, a new set of 20" RSV Kahn lightweight wheels, a new suspension set-up, and new, red brake calipers on the outside. Inside, the DB9 Volante receives a new leather finish with matching cream stitching, Pearl Grey trimming, and an overall new design on the sports car’s dials.[...]

Mercedes is not too far away from giving us a new generation of the SL, but this doens't mena that the current one is out of the spotlights. Want an example? Here it is: Japanese tuner Wald International is offering a visual package for the vehicle, bringing its usual over-the-top approach.

The vehicle, now called Wald R230 SL-Class Sports Line Black Bison Edition, comes with an aerodynamic package consisting of a front fascia, new front fenders, wheel arc extensions, an extreme rear bumper, ...[...]

Car configurators aren't new stuff, but when a tuner decides to offer one and makes it more complex that many factory stock ones, we can't help but sharing it with you.

After years of testing and development, the MINI Countryman WRC is finally strutting its stuff on the world rally scene with an eye towards a full WRC schedule for next year.

We’re saying this because it appears that Prodrive, the very same outfit that runs MINI’s WRC outfit, is in the process of developing a completely modded Countryman that includes an extensive body kit that features, among other things, a a large fixed carbon fiber wing and a new set of alloy wheels.

According to Autocar, the Prodrive-tuned Countryman also features an comprehensive performance upgrade, one that includes a Prodrive Militek exhaust system and an engine upgrade courtesy of Superchips. The latter took the crossover’s 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and improved its output from the standard 184 horsepower to an more impressive 230-horsepower output.[...]
