Back in 2008, German tuning extraordinaire, Mansory, took to the Geneva Motor Show with a spectacular package for the Ferrari 599 Fiorano called the Stallone. This package came baring 720 HP and a number of weight saving upgrades for spectacular performance. At the time, anyone would have been crazy to suggest to Mansory that the Stallone was not complete, but after three years and a couple of debuts, one guy thinks he knows just what the Ferrari needs to finish its look.

The brains behind the Stallone makeover is a TeamSpeed forum member and car enthusiast who feels that a matte red paint job, an updated interior, and possibly an extra engine/software upgrade or two would complete the package. At his request, Mansory prepared this one-off edition Stallone and the result is the beautiful machine seen in these pictures.[...]

Abt Sportline has introduced a new tuning program for the facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan. Full details inside[...]

 The second generation of the new MINI from the BMW Group has been with us since 2007 but the tuning industry has yet to let go of the Mk1 hatch and especially the Cooper S model with the R53 designation.

The Volkswagen Tiguan has just recently received a facelift so it would make perfect sense for ABT Sportsline to revise the tuning package they prepared back in 2007. Their latest tuning kit includes a series of exterior and interior upgrades, plus plenty of engine upgrades for all the models in the line-up.

The exterior package refines the look of the SUV with a prominent front grill, door strips, and a rear wing set with a pronounced rear muffler. The tuner is also advising its clients to opt for a new set of DR alloys wheels in combination with high-performance tires.

So far, the package is a big fat yawn, but then we get into the modifications made under the hood. ABT Sportsline has taken the 2.0 TDI version and increased its output from 140 HP to 170 HP. They then followed it with the 1.4 liter turbo which jumped from 160 HP to 210 HP. If the power jump isn’t enough for these two engines, they succeeded in keeping the fuel consumption exactly the same. Although exact figures weren’t provided, we can’t say the same for the top version, the 2.0-TSI engine, which has received a jump from 210 HP to 250 HP. All of these updates were done by using ABT’s Power upgrade system.[...]

Considering that the Tiguan has been on the market since 2007, it was about time the German automotive producer offered it a new identity. And so it did, with the introduction of the Volkswagen Tiguan facelift model earlier this year. But some thought this wasn't enough and decided to give a facelift... to the facelift.

So is the case with the German tuners at ABT, who have came up with a custom package that targets both appearance and performance of the German SUV.

The recently refreshed for the 2012 model year Volkswagen Tiguan is next up on ABT Sportline's tuning menu.

While still on the works, the German tuning house released the first renderings and information on the upgrades that will be available for VW's compact model. Beginning with the performance modifications, ABT Sportline will offer a variety of power kits for the entire range of the European model's engines.[...]
