With the release of the first Dark Knight Rises trailer, it seemed appropriate to commemorate the occasion by showing you Batman’s original cinematic vehicle. Of course, this one has been pumped up to turbocharged levels.

Yes, we’re talking about the original Batmobile that appeared in Tim Burton’s Batman movies; the very same one that inspired modern-day iterations of the Caped Crusader’s all-purpose vehicle. Only this time, it doesn’t come with a prop engine like so many others. This one comes with something pretty bad ass: a turboshaft turbine engine that was sourced from a naval drone helicopter and produces an output of 385 horsepower. Pretty impressive, right?[...]

Somewhere in Latvia, the minds over at Dartz are probably hunkered down in their shops looking for new ways to come out with some of the world’s most eccentric works.

Regarded as an aftermarket tuning company that has produced some off-the-wall projects, including the Prombron Nagel and the Iron Diamond, Dartz is back at it with a new program specifically for one of the world’s fastest cars, the Bugatti Veyron.

Without proper regard for fine taste and clear aesthetics, Dartz went out and turned this Veyron into a screaming chrome red fireball that immediately draws attention to itself, as if the Veyron doesn’t already do that on its own.[...]

Akrapovic is widely known for attaching their exhaust systems to some of the nicest cars on the market. Vehicles such as the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Mitsubishi Evo X have all received this treatment. Now, with its 500 HP naturally aspired engine, the 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is one of the most impressive cars available on the market, but Akrapovic have provided what we are going to call a tuning detail to further tweak its performance.

Akrapovic actually has five different exhaust systems which will increase the engine’s output by up to 17 HP, depending on the version chosen. The first system is an Evolution exhaust system that will add 12 HP and 10 lb-ft. Then there is the Evolution Race which will add 17 HP and 16 lb-ft of torque. The Sports cup version will add 8 HP and 11 lbs-ft and the Slip-On exhaust system will add 4 HP and 2 lbs-ft. Finally, there is the Slip-On Race version that adds more horsepower and torque, although those numbers are not specified. All of these systems will include titanium link pipes with exhaust valves and a titanium end muffler.[...]

The specialists at Brabus have spent some time in the wind tunnel and developed various aerodynamic-enhancement components that are meant to improve the AMG models' sporty looks. The tuners have just presented their ex-factory AMG body styling kit for the Mercedes E-Klasse, comprising a front spoiler lip that attaches to the lower part of the AMG front apron, reducing lift on the front axle for further improved directional stability.

Mansory typically provides its customers with some pretty cool tuning packages for their sports cars, but now the tuner has revealed a limited edition watch to add to their customers’ wish lists. Only 50 units of chronograph will be offered, and each of them will carry a price tag of ? 8,900 (approx. $13,000 at the current exchange rates).
