Mercedes CLS 500 MEC Design

Following the release of its Mercedes SLS AMG program last May, MEC Design has gone ahead and introduced their latest Silver Arrow project. However, this time they are focusing their attention on the sporty and luxurious CLS 500.

Included in the styling and aerodynamic kit are new modified bumpers with LED fog lights and daylights, a new ’Extreme’ diffuser on the rear, new side skirts, a three-piece trunklid spoiler, and a rear roof spoiler. In addition to that, the CLS 500 was also given a refreshed grille, LED mirror covers, a decidedly sexy and sleek full matte black foil wrap, four stainless steel pipe tips, and a set of 20" mecxtremeIII full matte black finish alloy wheels that have been wrapped in 285/25 ZR 20 tires. Inside, the CLS 500 receives a new carbon and leather steering wheel to go with new floormats.[...]

Singer 911 No.3

A few months ago, we showed you the magnificent Singer 911 that brought the classic designs of the Porsche 911 and combined them with a modern chassis and drivetrain. This combination produced a car that bridged the best of both worlds in one very, very unique package. Well, it turns out that there’s more where that came from.

Singer is back with a new Porsche 911 model and this time, they’re turning to British engineering firm, Cosworth, to prepare the new engine that can be found on the new Singer 911, affectionately called the ’No. 3’.

The third model takes the reins from its previous two incarnations - those models were dressed in green and orange - and comes with plenty of new-age materials to make the price tag skyrocket to six-figure proportions. Of course, all of it is justified once you realize all the elements inside this car.[...]

Pontiac GTO-R by Raybestos Garage

Engine transplants have been around since time immemorial. After all, if you have an old classic with an outdated powertrain, wouldn’t you want to keep it up to date and give it something that fits more to our times?

Raybestos Garage certainly understands this thought. That’s why they took it upon themselves to take a 1964 Pontiac GTO-R, one of the most iconic American muscles in history, and give it a modern powertrain make-over to the tune of an LSX 454-powered 700-horsepower modern-day maniac. Raybestos and Hot Rod Chassis & Cycle used the frame from the ’64 GTO-R and added a few noteworthy parts, including a GM-sourced LSX crate engine, a Tremec six-speed manual transmission, a Moser 9-inch rear-end, custom fabricated body and suspension, $20,000 Raybestos NASCAR brakes, and a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer.[...]

BMW M3 SK II by G-Power

While some tuning firms do what they do in order to upgrade a vehicle’s looks, many find the greatest amount of joy in pushing these vehicles’ limits to the outermost edge of their threshold. G-Power’s ultimate test was found on the Nardo high speed test track. When you can successfully test your vehicle on the Nardo test track, you know you are doing good, but when you do so by achieving a top speed of 207 mph, you know your success has just tripled.

The Nardo Ring in Italy is 7.8 miles long and features four lanes for cars and motorcycles to test out their speed capabilities. What makes this track so special is its simplistic design that allows drivers to eliminate steering needs when traveling at speeds within the 149 mph limit set in the fourth lane. What this means is that the lanes are angled in such a way that drivers can drive the vehicle as if they were speeding down a straight line, which we all know is the way to go to set a higher top speed.[...]

Prior Design Mercedes CLLast we heard from the guys at Prior Design, they were giving the Gallardo a heretical tuning that made it look like the ultra-rare Reventon. Before that, the customizing specialist had tickled the new E-Klasse, and now we find out the spiritual predecessor of the Mercedes coupe was also among their targets.

We're talking about the now venerable CL two-door (the W215), one of the best-looking Mercs we've ever laid our eyes upon.

The coupe is completely redesigned and now it has even better...[...]
