The 2012 VW Beetle tuning wars have began. Leaving aside the Beetle RS project with some very light styling modifications by the enthusiast website VWVortex that we showed you back in June, ABT Sportsline is the first mainstream tuning firm to take on the all-new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, or as the company likes to call it, the Speedle.

Last month, we brought you the first tuning project for the 2012 VW Beetle - the VWvortex's RS Stage I kit that involved mostly cosmetic changes. The tuners at Project Kahn decided to lend a hand to the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan by launching the new Project Kahn Miyagi edition, a Kahn Design Bali Blue Range Rover Sport. The conversion comprises a new ten piece Kahn body kit, complete with a sports exhaust system and color coding.

Project Kahn is doing their part in helping out the many victims of the recent natural disasters in Japan with their new special edition Range Rover Sport "Miyagi." This new special edition gets both exterior and interior modifications and will be auctioned off in order to help the people of Japan.

For the exterior of the Miyagi, Project Kahn has added a brand new bespoke front bumper with fog lamp surrounds in billet steel finish, a rear bumper replacement with exhaust diffuser, side skirts, matte black side vents with double mesh, and rear quad stainless steel exhaust system by Cosworth. It also includes bespoke 22'' RS Cosworth wheels.[...]

Apparently, Switzer’s 1000+ HP take on the R35 GT-R R1K just wasn’t enough for the Ohio based tuner. No, these amazing gearheads had to go and improve on an already fantastic model by getting it up to a staggering 1250 HP. A Nissan GT-R with enough power to rival a Bugatti Veyron SuperSport? We’ll take two helpings and some dessert please.

This new package is called the R1K-X and Switzer Performance has only released this video of the vehicle during its dyno testing for our first tasty sampling. According to the tuner, the 1250 AWHP and 1003 AWTQ was run on VP Q16 race fuel, but a dyno testing with 93 octane pump gas will be uploaded soon.

The essence and beauty of the Mazda MX-5 lies in its small sports car body and engine. Lately, however, it seems as if bigger is getting continually better and Australian native, George Covacic, is showing proof of that with his highly modified MX-5 Bullet Roadster. According to Covacic, this particular model is the fifth Roadster that was built in the late 90s and the first to feature a V8 engine (all original Bullet Roadsters carried the RX-7 13B powerplant from the Mazda RX7). As of right now, all we can do is take his word for it, but if that’s all you need then this model is currently on sale for $46,191.[...]

Apparently owning a wagon over in Dubai is about as cool as doing the Irish Jig in a Hip Hop dance club, but two guys over in the Middle East are combating this ridiculous notion with a rendering of a CTS-V Wagon Racer. Yes, sadly, it’s just a rendering, but Lap 57’s Emirati race driver, Omran Al Owais, and his brother Mohammed are hoping these images will increase interest and gather up some sponsors to make this vehicle a reality.

The Cadillac wagon seen in these images actually belongs to the brothers and they hope to take them to Nurburgring to complete the next step towards possible production. Before that happens, though, the two brothers are looking for advice from some top tuners, including Hennessey Performance and D3, on how to make this happen.[...]
