The Ford GT is one of those vehicles that is and always will be an American icon. Originally produced in 2005 and 2006, the GT drew inspiration from Ford’s classic GT40 race cars of the 1960s and had the 550 HP necessary coming out of its mid-mounted 5.4 L Modular V8 engine to back up the design. Ford has already talked about producing a second generation of the model, but until that happens, we will bide our time by finding true pieces of tuning art like AE Performance’s version of the Ford GT.

The full specs of the package have not been released as of yet, but we did get some pictures to drool over, as well as a few hints as to what we should expect. The Ford GT by AE will get an extra 130 HP to add to the mix, along with a new set of ADV.1 wheels and a discrete body kit. Surprisingly so, these pictures show that AE Performance has done away with the original’s racing stripes, but has left a vibrant candy apple red paint job to shut us up about it.[...]

From the depths of Germany's tuning industry comes our next custom build, based on the MINI Countryman Cooper S. Wetterauer Engineering GmbH, one of the lesser-known design shops, has come up with a new package for MINI's first all-wheel drove model.

The aesthetic treatment starts with a new foil wrap in a matte brown color for the body and in carbon fiber for the roof, side skirts, front and rear aprons, exterior mirrors, spoilers and air vents. The package also gives the Countryman a matching set of 18-inch wheels from ATS shod in 225/45 R18 rubber and matte exhaust tips.[...]

Dubbed the Royal GT 470, the body kit features a revised grille, modified fascias and wheel arch extensions.[...]

We’ve already seen a tuning package for the BMW 1-Series M Coupe, but whereas the "Clockwork Orange" was made exclusively for one client, this latest package from TechTec will be the first offered to the general public.

BMW’s little sports car already comes with a new twin-turbocharged, all-aluminum, 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that delivers total of 335 HP, but German tuner, TechTec, has reworked that engine to come up with three different power stages. The first stage will bring the pony power up to 380 HP and the peak torque to 427 lb-ft, all for 1,000 euro (about $1,4000 at the current rates). Throw down another 1,500 euro (about $2,100 at the current rates) and that power increase will jump by 20 to 400 HP, but at this point, TechTec would also recommend that the buyer gets their upgraded air cooler for another 800 euro (about $1,120 at the current rates).[...]

And the train of Volkswagen Touareg tuners continues to grow. The latest to join the German SUV's tuning fan club is Hofele-Design with its new Royal GT 470. The upgrade package is comprehensive and includes modifications to the exterior, interior as well as the chassis and the available V6 diesel.

The tuning shop's aero kit comprises of a new front apron with integrated LEDs on both corners, matching wheel arch extensions, side skirts and a rear apron housing a diffuser and a choice of two different sets of exhaust tail pipe designs. A hood scoop, Hofele-Design's bespoke front grille and 20- or 22-inch alloy wheels complete the changes.[...]

Many would say the Mercedes C63 AMG is a car that is perfect from the factory apparently, so receiving a tuning package does not make sense. Back in late 2010, the tuning specialists at Romeo Ferraris were showing us their vision of a German sports sedan with a bit of Italian boost.

Now, they have turned their attention to the same car once again, this time focusing more on the styling aspects, rather than on performance tweaks.

When we caught this Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera driving in Miami without rear bumper, we felt for the poor owner and his damaged toy. But as we were getting closer, we realized that the missing rear bumper was in fact a pretty cool way to show off its bi-turbo chromed internals.[...]
