A little over a year ago at the 2009 SEMA show, Trans Am Depot introduced a conversion kit for the Chevrolet Camaro, affectionately turning it from modern-day Bumblebee muscle to an iteration of what a Pontiac Firebird would look like. They even had a name for it: the Phoenix Trans Am.
Fast forward about 20 months and Trans Am Depot has returned for their next Camaro-based Pontiac conversion kit. The car of choice this time is the 1969 GTO Judge, although you certainly wouldn't mistake this one for the real deal.
In any case, Trans Am Depot's work is called the "6T9 Goat" and looking at the renderings sent over by TAD, the new conversion kit comes with plenty of styling elements, including a bespoke front end with its own split grille. There's also a revised hood with air scoops, a new tail lamp, a restyled "old-school" trunk with a small rear wing, quad tail pipes, and a new set of alloy wheels.[...]

This year, Volkswagen is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the introduction of the original Golf GTI in 1976, and to mark the event, the German carmaker has unleashed a special version, named "Edition 35". As with the "Edition 30" launched in 2006, the latest anniversary model benefits from an upgraded and more powerful engine as well as discreet styling tweaks that differentiate it from the standard Golf GTI.
Starting with the mechanical updates, the GTI's 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI engine is tuned to deliver an extra 25 horsepower, for a total of 235 horsepower. The increase in output should improve the hot hatch?s performance, but Volkswagen has not yet revealed any official figures, simply stating that the car will be more fun to drive. The automaker didn't say whether the ?Edition 35? will feature a lower suspension than the stock car, as was the case with the "Edition 30".

Hennessey has been laying out packages left and right for a variety of models lately, including the Dodge Ram HPE500, Cadillac Escalade, and now, the lusciously tuned Nissan GT-R. There was no time wasted fiddling with the exterior of the GTR because Hennessey went straight to work pumping up the standard 3.8L V6 engine to produce up to 800 HP.
We haven’t seen this many additions under the hood of a vehicle since the last Hennessey tuned project we encountered, so we’re going to focus on some of the more important ones for now. The standard 3.8L V6 engine was jacked up with the help of SUMO turbo, intercooler piping, and intercooler core upgrades, as well as high-flow fuel injectors and chassis dyno tuning and engine calibration. Other additions include a SUMO stainless steel midpipe exhaust, SUMO stainless steel turbo downpipes, and a SUMO high-flow cold air induction. These modifications allow the GTR800 to pack an 813 HP punch and sprint the car from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds. The 0-100 mph sprint is made in 6.2 seconds and the quarter mile can be had for 10.5 seconds at a speed of 136 mph.[...]

SR Auto Group gets its kicks from transforming luxury exotics into more aggressive and beastly machines like the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560 ?Erebos? and the Audi R8 V10 Project Valkyrie. Their newest project launched "with the idea of going all out with no restraints" and they used this philosophy to transform the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 under the ’Ballistic’ project.
The Murcielago ’Ballistic’ received its edgy styling from the Premier 4509 package that includes a new front bumper, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser. SR Auto Group then finished off the look with a matte black exterior finish and a new set of 20" PUR 2WO design wheels. The tuning firm isn’t about challenging the power outputs provided by Lamborghini so the ’Ballistic" utilizes the Murcielago’s 6.5L V12 engine cranking out 631 HP at 8000 rpm and 487 lb-ft at 6000 rpm.[...]

The makers of the fire-breathing Phoenix T/A that we saw at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas are back with yet another proposal for a Pontiac model based on the latest iteration of Chevy?s Camaro pony car. This time the people over at Trans Am Depot will give birth to a modern day interpretation of Pontiac?s famed 1969 GTO Judge. The tuner named its creation ?The GT9 Goat?.[...]

The Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is an ideal platform for some fairly gnarly burnouts. The 650-hp Hennessey V650 "Hammer Wagon" appears to be an even better starting point for killing Bibendum's offspring.[...]

The Lamborghini Gallardo is the most successful model in the Italian’s company line-up, but it never hurts to get a couple of things changed here and there to make them stand out from all of the rest. Euro Koncepts has taken care of that little detail with an LP 570-4 Spyder Performante front bumper that gives the 2004-2008 model year Gallardos - including Superleggeras - a look that warrants a double take.
The front bumper was made by Renown Autostyle and fits in perfectly on the Gallardo. It comes with a real carbon fiber bottom and is priced at $3,700, including the grills. Installing the new bumper can take up to two and a half weeks.[...]

Hennessey isn’t just about creating uber-sexy vehicles like the Venom GT. In fact, a lot of their projects entail tuning up existing models and then slapping on an HPE title coupled with the appropriate horsepower number. The latest vehicle to be blessed with the alphanumeric title is the 2009-2011 Dodge Ram and its new HPE500 designation. >
The Ram HPE500 is powered by a 5.7L Hemi that has been geeked up with a TVS2300 Supercharger System and an HPE Air Induction System to help cool the beast down.
This setup can produce 505 HP at 5,400rpm when fueled with 93 Octane. Broken down, it gives the driver 422 HP at the rear wheels with a 20% boost providing the 505 HP at the engine. For comparison’s sake, the Ram SRT10 powered by the Viper’s V10 engine gets 410 HP at the rear wheels and 505 HP at the engine. The deep rumble of the truck’s new inner workings can be heard flowing out of the new stainless steel cat-back exhaust system.[...]
