John Hennessey's got this great shtick going where he takes his Frankenstein monsters and pits them against stock versions of cars we associate with performance. It's total nonsense, but how the hell do you not watch a twin-turbo Cadillac Escalade race a Nissan GT-R? [...]

Lingenfelter blew our minds last year when they brought out their Camaro SS LS9 package boasting a whopping 1,234 HP. This year, they are headed to the 2011 Camaro5Fest with a variation of that same tuning package, modified to burn some rubber on the drag strip.
The spruced up Camaro SS will now feature a revised Pedders/Lingenfelter drag race shock absorber package along with a 427 CID LSX engine. The package goes further to include Lingenfelter CNC ported GM LS3 six bolt cylinder heads, a face plated TR6060 Trans by RPM Transmissions, a strain gauged shifter, and an LPE (LNC-TC1) 2-step with shift torque cut. These modifications have already been tested at the Dyno and have completed a WOT 3-4 shift with both stages of nitrous, tuning both the initiation and duration of the torque cut. The Dyno test was completed in vehicle simulation mode while producing over 1200 rwhp at 7200 rpm.[...]

The Ford Mustang and tuning company Roush Performance have long been synonymous with each other because of the latter?s undying devotion to giving some good aftermarket lovin? to the iconic Ford muscle car.
Over the years, we?ve seen a number of Roush-tuned Ford Mustangs, including the P-51B, the Barrett-Jackson Edition, and the 5XR. All these works are mighty impressive, especially for the lofty standards the Mustang is held to in the tuning world.
With all the Mustang experience under its belt, it shouldn?t come as a surprise to find out that Roush Performance has just revealed their new project, the 2012 RS3 Mustang.
Though the full details have yet to be disclosed, Roush was nice enough to give us a brief lowdown on what to expect on the RS3 Mustang, the most important of which is the engine upgrade. According to the aftermarket tuner, the RS3 Mustang was given a Stage 3 Mustang (RS3) boost that brings the muscle car?s output to 540 horsepower. On top of that, the car also comes with a new blackout panel with Jack Roush?s signature at the rear, a Roush-badged gas cap, and a two-tone paint package that will be available in six customizable colors.[...]

Wait, wasn’t it just a few days ago that Geiger Cars unveiled their Mustang Shelby GT640 "Golden Snake"? Now it’s become apparent that the tuning firm is out to even the score by releasing a package for the Mustang’s key competitor, the Chevrolet Camaro SS? Well, we guess that is one way to keep things balanced between the two sides of the muscle car fanatics.
Geiger Cars’ package for the Camaro follows along the same lines as the package for the Mustang, but while the Mustang received a subtle gold exterior to highlight the modifications made, the Camaro is sourly eye-catching in this green exterior paint. Hideous as the color may be, the Camaro was also outfitted with a nice exterior package and can now scream down the road with its upgraded 564 HP. Can we forgive the color long enough to enjoy the ride? Absolutely.[...]

We’re used to seeing these "Black Edition" tuning packages from Anderson Germany on many different sports cars available, but their latest project seems to be a little on the questionable side of the spectrum. The talented tuning firm has gone from the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Audi R8 V10 to a run-of-the-mill Ford Focus RS. Don’t shake your heads just yet though; after all, thrill-seeking speed is not just for people with thick wallets and hefty bank accounts.
Like with all of the other Black packages offered by Anderson Germany, the RS Black Racing Edition starts off with a black exterior and red contrasts. The aerodynamic package includes more pronounced wheel arches, an extra thick spoiler, and a matte black wrap. For the interior, the tuner has added leather upholstery, Alcantara, and beautiful red stitching.[...]

If you are a fan of the Indy Pro Series then a name like Tony Kanaan more than rings a bell. For those of you who don’t know the name, here’s a little 411: Kanaan is a Brazilian race car driver who won the 2004 Indy Racing League IndyCar Series championship driving Andretti Green Racing’s 7-Eleven sponsored car. A champ like this deserves nothing less than to drive a vehicle that matches his status, so CEC Wheels in Miami took on the job of transforming an already stunning Nissan GT-R into a vehicle fit for a champion.
Taking the smooth lines of the GT-R to the next level is a new front spoiler, a new grille, an engine cover, hood scoops, mirror covers, side skirts, trunk, rear diffuser, and a rear wing all made in carbon fiber. With a name like CEC Wheels, a new set of Yokohama AVS M7 forged wheels painted in gloss black were a must in the makeover. The interior was also spiffed up with some black leather, Recaro CS seats, a Password JDM carbon rear speaker shelf, a Password JDM carbon rear seat delete, and a K40 Radar with Jammers.[...]

Geigercars, Germany's well-known tuner of American muscle, boosted the Camaro SS to 564hp and painted it in "bilious" green, which, as Wikipedia notes, means "marked by or suffering from liver dysfunction and especially excessive secretion of bile." Fast, but gross.[...]
