It might sound a little insensitive to be talking about a tuning package that makes reference to a natural disaster given the things going on in Japan these days, but then again, G-Power’s work on the new X6 M dubbed the ’Typhoon S’ certainly has no connection to the tragedies in Japan.

The German tuning firm has made a handsome living with their works on BMWs in the past, and with their latest offering, these guys are still a long way from slowing down.

The ’Typhoon S’ features a comprehensive tuning package for the X6, one that includes both aerodynamic and performance improvements. Despite having little to no interior upgrades, G-Power still dressed up the SUV’s exterior with new body parts that improve not just the car’s overall look, but also its effect on performance figures. And speaking of power updates, the Typhoon S was given quite the performance spike, reaching an output north of 726 horsepower - compare that to the Typhoon’s ’pedestrian’ 600-horsepower output - making this particular X6 one of the most powerful of its kind in the world[...]

It?s been a while since we last heard of Loder1899, but the German tuning house is back with a new proposal, this time for Ford?s new C-Max compact minivan. The tuner?s offerings include both performance tweaks and aerodynamic bits. Engine modifications concern the 2.0-liter TDCi turbocharged diesel four-pot that produces 163-horsepower and[...]

On March 17th, the auto tuning world lost a very special individual when Richard Hamann, the man behind Hamann Motorsport, passed away due to lung cancer. He was 53.

Still recovering in the wake of Uwe Gemballa’s gruesome murder less than a year ago, the auto tuning industry was given another jolting shock with Hamann’s untimely death. While words won’t begin to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Hamann family, we nevertheless send our love and prayers in this time of sorrow.

Richard Hamann was a man of many things. He was a celebrated race car driver in his early years and later on, he traded away the cockpit for the tuning shops when he founded Hamann Motorsports in 1986. In the 20-plus years of its existence, Hamann became one of the world’s premier tuning companies.[...]

Back in February TechArt has unveiled a pretty impressive package for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Now the tuner has revealed a pretty impressive Individualization option list for the Cayenne. The package starts with an Aero engine hood with integrated air outlets, a roof spoiler in combination with the three-part tail light trim with an integrated spoiler shape.

For the exterior lighting customer can choose between LED lightning packages in black and chrome or halogen lightning packages. The LED system unit integrates the day-driving light, sidelights, parking lights and indicators in a single housing. Mercedes GL-Class is a car that looks amazing in its standard version, but with a few modifications it just became incredible. The work has been made by the German tuner Kicherer who called their package GL 42 Sport Black. The package is based on the GL 420 CDI model and includes a significant power increase, but also impressive exterior and interior package.

The 4,2 liter V8 engine has been tuned to deliver an impressive 380 HP (up from 306 HP) and 663 NM of torque. In order to obtain this power increase the tuner is offering a special PowerConverter that sharpens the electronic gas pedal characteristic curve, causing the heavy vehicle to react even more spontaneously to acceleration commands and enabling powerful acceleration from the very bottom. The two end pipes of the two-pipe sports exhaust system give off a deeply evil roar.[...]

The Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is already a car that can get most enthusiasts drooling. Just about all of the boxes can get ticked off instantly with just a quick look. Luxurious leather interior? Check. Enough space to haul the wife, the kids, the dogs, and all of the useless knick-knacks they decided to bring on the family road trip? Check. A 556 HP supercharged, Corvette-sourced V8? Check.

For many enthusiasts, the Caddy wagon is just about all they could ask for in a car. Ludicrously fast, reasonably priced, and practical all at once. What more could they possibly want? Well, as Jeremy Clarkson would say, ?MORE POWERRRRRRR!?

That’s right, folks. In true tuner fashion, Hennessey Performance near Houston, Texas decided that the CTS-V Sport Wagon needed just a tad more power.[...]

Well that didn’t take too long, did it? The Range Rover Evoque hasn’t been out all that long and it has already received its first tuning package from German tuner, Arden. Guess after the lights fade and the sparkles burn out, even the Ranger Rover Evoque can use a little updating. And we definitely mean a little, as Arden’s package only provides minor updates that were done to make the SUV sportier and stronger, and give it a more urban appearance.

The AR8 City-Roader package takes the 2.0-liter turbo gasoline engine found in the Evoque and adds a new handmade stainless steel exhaust system and high performance catalyst. These additions make for a 30 HP increase, from 240 HP to 270 HP. Not much, but enough to make a small difference in the overall output.[...]

Jaguar may have replaced the S-type back in 2008 with the XF luxury sedan, but there are tuners out there that have yet to forget the classic executive car and aim to bring it back . One such tuner is Panzani, an Italian tuning firm that has revealed an updated look for the old boy.

Their package is based on the S-Type R version that is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine with an output of 300 HP. The standard S-Type already has its distinctive features, but Panzani wanted to bring them out into a whole new and modern light. The car’s original sheet metal was used for the body, but the wheels arches were widened to 10 cm on both axles and connected to the new bumper. The front was further refined with two large air intakes that balance the aesthetic look of the Jaguar grille. A pair of LED daytime lights were also integrated into the front bumper to finish off the look. The ultimate treatment was reserved for the body color where a gray/lava intense color was applied in a uniform grain and then treated with a transparent finish. Other less notable new features of the S-Type are the new 20" wheels and the Alcantara and leather elements and carbon fiber elements found in the interior.[...]
