Say what you want about the year Gemballa has had, but you can’t deny that when these guys buckle down and bring their lunch pails to work, they’re one of the best in the business when it comes to tuning high-powered sports cars.
One product line that has been associated with Gemballa has been the Mirage GT, which is based on the Porsche Carrera GT. Over the years, Gemballa has released a number of Mirage models based on the Carrera GT, including the Carbon Edition, the Matte Edition, the Black Edition, and the Gold Edition. Recently, the German tuning company released the latest iteration of the super aggressive Mirage GT, christening it the "Matte Blue Edition".
Similar to its predecessors, the Mirage GT Matte Blue Edition is powered by Gemballa’s own V10 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 464 lb/ft of torque, up from the standard output of 612 horsepower and 435 lb/ft of torque the standard Carrera GT comes in. Those figures translate to a 0-62 mph time of 3.7 seconds (down from the stock version’s 3.9-second time) with a top speed of 208 mph, which in turn is up from the Carrera GT’s 205-mph top speed.[...]

After their last one-off project - the golf club-inspired BMW Z4 ?Slingshot?, which received great acclaim - it seemed like it was just a matter of time before the people of MWDesign Technik would return for yet another tasty dishing of a one-off BMW Z4.
Apparently, these guys are true to their word.
Inspired by the work done on the Slingshot Z4, a client of MWDesign requested the tuning firm to work their magic on his brand new BMW Z4. Not one to turn down an opportunity, the boys from MWDesign took the offer and began working their magic.
Just like the ?Slingshot? Z4, the BMW Z4 ?White Flame? draws inspiration from another golf club, the Taylormade R-11 driver. In designing the car, MW Design made sure that it translated some of the key design cues and coloration of the club into the car. Seeing as the R-11 features a white, red, and gray theme, MWDesign decided to put in the same color scheme in the Z4, albeit in a subtle fashion to maintain the car?s sleek and clean look.[...]

Many Porsche 911 models have been christened with the Avalanche name since the mid-1980s when Gemballa came out with their first Avalanche tuning package for the sports car. Since that first project, the Gemballa-911 models bearing the name have become masterpieces in their own right and Gemballa is ready to show the world just how special this model is.
At the upcoming 2011 Retro Classics, Gemballa will prove that they offer the best tuning programs for the Porsche 911 models by bringing back the Avalanche GTR 750 EVO-R for display. This is a model that has been tuned to deliver an impressive 750hp and hit a top speed of 208 mph. Next to this impressive engine update, the Evo-R will also be heavily modified on both the exterior and the interior, with a new set of 20" racing wheels and a black and orange exterior combination to boot.[...]

When Chevrolet officially introduced the Camaro Convertible to the public late last year, there seemed to be no denying the fact that as soon as the car went on sale, aftermarket companies would dive at the chance to become the first ones to release a tuning package for the Camaro Convertible.
Well, you can now take that race off the board after Hennessey Performance unveiled their new performance package for the Camaro Convertible SS called the ’HPE600’.
Truth be told, the ’HPE600’ isn’t exactly a new Hennessey product as the American aftermarket company already used it on the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The result for both cars was pretty much dead on, with both having a modified output of somewhere north of 600 horsepower.[...]

John Pangilinan came to the 2010 SEMA Show with his own version of the Scion tC sports car, but the competition for this customized ride may have been too much to handle as there were five customized tCs at SEMA ready to strut their stuff. The most intimidating for this version was the tC customized by James Lin. Lin threw everything he had at the sports car and the result was a car that we would even take out and about. That being said, Pangilinan was a tough competitor as well as he tweaked the engine of this bad boy enough to tickle our fancies.
Pangilinan piqued our interest with a new turbocharger kit, a stainless steel turbo manifold, a new intake system, and RC 750cc injectors fitted right under the hood of the tC. We don’t know exactly what these changes have resulted in, since no official numbers were given, but we can’t imagine a tuner would strap on 18" race wheels and a new Brembo Gran Turismo Big brake kit for a minor boost[...]

Speaking in terms of popularity, no SUV has been subjected to aftermarket modifications quite as often as the Porsche Cayenne. Somehow, there?s something about this SUV that draws tuning companies from all over the world to it similar to how a moth gets drawn to a flame.
But unlike the unfortunate moth that gets burned when it comes too close to the flame, the Porsche Cayenne has reaped the benefits of all these modifications, so much so that it?s hardly surprising anymore if a new tuner comes out and introduces their new package for the SUV. This is where we find ourselves after FAB Design released a new bodykit conversion for the Cayenne, one that features a strong dose of aggressive aesthetics and aerodynamic improvements. Among the modifications FAB Design gave the Cayenne includes a new front spoiler with larger air intakes, a new and vented engine bonnet, new side skirts, wider fenders, a retooled rear bumper that comes with an integrated diffuser, four trapezoidal tailpipes along, plenty of carbon fiber to go around, and a set of 22? multi-piece double-spoke forged alloy wheels. The interior also gets dressed up with carbon fiber inlays, Alcantara and leather trims, and aluminum applications.[...]
