The era of tuner Mustangs that began when racer Steve Saleen set up shop in the 1980s ended today, when the owner of Saleen Performance Vehicles announced it will end production of vehicles to focus on aftermarket parts. Carpocalypse: Tuner.[...]

Just because the Porsche 911 GT2 RS is already a powerful car in its own right, it doesn?t mean that people will shy away from giving it higher levels of performance.
At the Geneva Motor Show, German tuning firm Sportec showed that even a car as powerful as the 911 GT2 RS can still be tweaked to become more beastly than it already is. Taking a second upgrade program - the SP 800R ? for the 911 GT2 RS, Sportec gave the Porsche?s 3.6-liter V6 boxer engine a thorough modification program featuring new sports camshafts, bigger air coolers, a new engine software, hybrid turbochargers, and a titanium exhaust system with a customized manifold. All these changes translate to an increased output of 800 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. Mighty impressive, dare we say.
The glorious performance modifications weren?t the only things Sportec worked on with the 911 GT2 RS. Addressing the need to give the car an aerodynamic boost, the German tuner also gave it new front and rear spoiler lips and a set of 20? seven-spoke black alloy wheels.[...]

It’s kind of hard to imagine that Hamann has been around the industry since 1986. Yep. 25 years, and still going strong.
The Laupheim-based aftermarket specialist currently has a long list of tuned up vehicles to its credit and while some were better off than others, one thing that you can count on is that Hamann will most definitely bring the good with every project they take on.
If you wanted any more proof of that, look no further than their latest program for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo called the "Guardian", which they debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The program, which consists of powerful performance enhancements, new aerodynamic components, and a luxed-up interior, certainly doesn’t lack for aesthetic and engine upgrades. Not that we’re complaining because the whole program is actually pretty impressive. Then again, we really shouldn’t have expected anything less than spectacular from these guys, right? They’ve been around longer than many of us have been born, and if you can stay that long in the business without a hint of drop-off, then you must be doing something good[...]

?What do you do when the power of an engine is no longer sufficient?? asks Stephan Lenior, the man behind Squadra Tuning, on his company?s website. While the solution for the majority would have been a heavily modified or perhaps a completely different engine altogether, for the owner of the Alfa Romeo tuning company based in Holland, the answer[...]

Luxury tuner, Mansory, arrived at the Geneva Motor Show with vehicles such as the Siracusa and the Cormeum, two heavily modified sports cars based on the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Mercedes SLS AMG. However, what they didn’t display was their upcoming tuning package based on the new generation BMW 7-Series. The most powerful 7-series available - the 760Li - to be exact.
So far, the Switzerland subsidiary of Mansory is keeping mum on some of the details, but we do know the tuner has applied massive air intakes, a new front bumper, a new type of mesh grille, horizontally-positioned LED daytime running lights, a redesigned apron with two large exhaust tips, a new rear bumper, a boot lid spoiler, and a roof spoiler to the luxury sedan. Oh, and we can’t forget the easiest addition to any vehicle: a new set of wheels in a multi-spoke design.[...]

Since it was introduced in 2009, the Mercedes SLS AMG has become a favorite among tuning companies, so much so that we’ve seen enough unique iterations of the Mercedes supercar to last us a few lifetimes. Not that we’re complaining because we frankly won’t get tired of ogling over this supercar.
Recently, another tuning company joined the parade of modified SLS AMGs, proving that you can never have enough of something as sexy and beautiful as this galloping, gullwing hyperbeast.
For MKB, subtlety is the name of the game, so unlike some of their more bombastic contemporaries, the German tuning firm went about and gave the SLS AMG a performance package that can go pony-to-pony with anything its contemporaries have to offer despite not having a whole lot of styling changes done on the car.[...]
