In an attempt to further entrench themselves to its exclusive customers, Ferrari is launching a new customization program that allows Ferrari owners to have their modern beasts be given a classic touch. Called the Vintage Package, the program is being offered for a wider-range of Ferrari models with the first of these models being the Ferrari California.

Among the aesthetic additions added to the California through the Vintage Package include a unique front grille, door mirrors, and A-pillar trims to go along with special chrome highlights for the side vents. On top of that, the California Vintage Package will also include wheels with a diamond polish look.

Performance specs for the California remain untouched so expect the same 4,300 cc V8 Direct Injection engine that appears in all California models. This particular engine can produce an output of 460 horsepower at 7,750 RPM and 357 lb/ft of torque at 5,000 RPM. Likewise, the engine is mated to a a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with a top speed of 192 mph and a 0-60 mph time of four seconds.[...]

 

 

If you think this new tuning package looks a bit familiar then you get some extra points for your attention to detail. SpeedART’s talented engineers have put together a wide body kit for the Porsche Cayenne that is the most delectable package we’ve seen for the SUV, which is exactly what we said about it when SpeedArt first revealed it in 2010. To be fair, the new kit isn’t exactly the same. In fact, the small additions they have made change the look of the vehicle even more so than the original. The new Titan-EVO-XL 600 package is set to be revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, but here are a few details to mull over until that time.

SpeedArt’s new tuning kit is based on the Cayenne Turbo and, as its name suggests, updates to the engine allow the SUV to get 600 HP (up from a standard 500 HP) and 627 lbs-ft of torque. Adding to the package is a new flashy bodykit with striping similar to the Porsche 997 GT3 RS MkII and many other new components, including new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a new exhaust system. Who said large pick-ups can’t be cool? Mopar has brought at the SEMA Show a vehicle that wants to prove exactly the contrary. Their new Ram Runner pick-up is inspired by the Baja-style desert racing.

The rigors of off-road racing require large tires, plenty of ground clearance, extreme durability and a sophisticated suspension system capable of withstanding tremendous impact. These features are combined into a package that is stable at speed and in the corners. To achieve this kind of handling, a low center of gravity and long wheel travel are paramount. Talk about a ?Unicorn Project? if there ever was one. Jon Olsson, the Swedish free-skier and alpine ski race, has made no bones about his love for finely tuned supercars, which includes his own stable of machines like the Nissan R35 GT-R and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. Now, Olsson is collaborating with ADV.1 wheels to create and develop the ?ultimate? Ultima GTR project. Details on the car are still not known with the exception of these jaw-dropping renderings, but if you know what the Ultima GTR is capable of, then you know that this car project is going to be a one sweet ride.

Fast, powerful, and road-legal, the Ultima GTR is one of the fastest vehicles on the planet, no questions asked. It?s got a Chevrolet-sourced 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces 543 horsepower ? the chassis, however, can take in engines that have an output of well over 1,000 horsepower ? and 528 lb/ft of torque.[...]

Some have mistakenly thrown around the name ’Shining Star’ a little too loosely for our liking, and as is often the case, the vehicles with that sparkling name almost always fail to deliver. This, however, is not the case with MR Car Design’s work on the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG. The name ’Shining Star’ fits the sports car almost perfectly.

As the latest work of the Erftstadt-based auto tuner, this particular SL65 comes with a number of exterior improvements, including a new carbon bonnet courtesy of its compatriot and tuner-at-arm, Kicherer. In addition to the SLR-inspired bonnet, MR Car Design lowered the SL65 AMG’s ride height by 30 mm while also putting in a new rear bumper, black fender lights at the front, a mid-mounted black brake light out in the back, a new sport exhaust system, and a set of 20" forged rims courtesy of yet another aftermarket brethren, Carlsson. As for the interior, not a lot of changes were done except for the installation of custom-made Black Series dial lenses.[...]

The engine upgrade is nothing new considering these are the same modifications Wheelsandmore made to the Continental Coupe just last year. Adding power to an already amazing turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine is done with the use of an ECU upgrade combined with a handmade, stainless steel exhaust system and a remote controlled valve flap system, leaving the convertible with 702 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque (up from a standard of 621 HP and 590 lbs-ft. Getting this kingpin to stop are new carbon-ceramic brakes measuring 16.54 inches, the largest available.[...]
