The Tokyo Auto Salon is always a blast featuring all sorts of unique tuning proposals, like this here Porsche wannabe. When our Tokyo show man Phil sent us the above photo, we assumed it pictured a Porsche -possibly a Boxster- wearing some kind of extreme bodykit. We were quickly proved wrong, however, when he sent over an image of the interior as...

We know summer days are far, far away, but anyone looking for a cool summer kit car should meander on over to the Mev Exocet. This kit car begins with a Mazda MX-5 Miata, tacks on an extra £2000 (around $2,500) in components and labor, and ends with a vehicle that looks like it belongs in the dunes. Mev claims doing the conversion is easy and can be done without professional assistance, but we’d play it on the safe side and ask for help anyway. Of course, if anyone is feeling froggy, then they may want to start the project now so it can be ready by the time the summer heat rolls in.[...]

Despite what we consider as bland styling, the Honda Accord Crosstour still has plenty of room for improvement. During the SEMA Auto Show, we saw the potential of the Accord Crosstour to look exponentially better once you add a few dinks and dunks on the car?s aesthetic design.
Looking a lot more aggressive than its standard looks, the SEMA-spec HFP Accord Crosstour certainly looks as if it has been dressed to impress. Featuring a full body kit courtesy of HFP, the Accord Crosstour?s overall look is further improved by the installation of a new front grille as part of the tuner?s body kit. The Accord Crosstour was also given a prototype lowered HFP sport suspension, color-matched door handles, a special black-out door sash trim, and a set of 19? HFP PDS-10 wheels wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN ST 245/50-series tires.[...]

American off-road racing legend, Mickey Thompson, made his way to Las Vegas with a project of his own to show off the Ford F-150 at the 2010 SEMA Auto Show. His rendition of the super truck looked better than ever with an exterior package boasting of power steps and a bed step, power sliding rear windows, professional detailing, fender flares and vent guards, Bead liner, custom Black/Grey Satin "Camo" Paint & Graphics, auxiliary lighting, billet grille, Stobe lighting system, and an E-Series electronic retractable truck bed cover. The Rally America National Championship has long been a series dominated by the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. The Impreza?s run was unceremoniously stopped last year by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, setting the stage for a highly competitive 2011 season. One car that?s looking to gate crash the proceedings made its debut at the 2010 SEMA Auto Show courtesy of 0-60 Magazine.
The popular auto mag unveiled the Scion xD Tarmac rally car that?s expected to make its rally debut at the 2011 RANC. This isn’t the first time 0-60 went to SEMA with their own custom-built Scion rally prototype, having done the same thing last year. This time around, the car will be driven by Christopher Duplessis, who, incidentally, is the brother of Forest Duplessis, DirtFish Rally School?s chief instructor.[...]

Airhead Kustoms, along with Cars by Kris, have displayed the Pit Boss at the 2010 SEMA Auto Show. The Boss is the ultimate tow and support vehicle built off of a 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty platform. Built to haul a race car to the track and serve as a mobile pit, the truck offers a bed-mounted tire cage and custom swing-case toolboxes.
Next to the impressive exterior package, the Pit Boss package also features a Snow Performance water/methanol injection system, Nitrous Express diesel nitrous system, and an AFE Power cold air intake that no doubt bump up the the power of this rugged machine. If anyone has ever doubted the feasibility of a green, eco-friendly hybrid car possessing the kind of power that would make its rivals sick with envy, then it would be a good idea to learn a thing or two from Bisimoto Engineering.
Known for being one of the most aggressive tuners of its kind, Bisimoto went to the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas to present their one-of-a-kind masterpiece, a 533 horsepower Honda CR-Z Hybrid. Yeah, we just put ?533 horsepower? and ?hybrid? in the same sentence. Bisimoto has that effect on us.[...]

The new Ford Fiesta may have just been launched recently, but the little hatchback has still had plenty of time to make quite an impression on the American market. That being said, it’s no wonder that The Fiesta was one of the most tuned models at the 2010 SEMA Show. One of the packages offered came in with 3dCarbon, who have designed the perfect car for the sport compact enthusiast.[...]

Time and again, we?ve scoured the forums looking for the next supercar to drool over. Whether it?s a completely new one or one that just got out of the tuning shops, we never miss an opportunity to see what new bad boy lies out there, primed and ready to unleash its wrath on the streets of the world.
Good thing too because we’ve found this matte black Ford GT that has been given some pretty serious tune-up work. ?Peakcompletions? from L4P took their Ford GT ? an already amazing car in its own right ? over to Shelby at Elite Autos to have some tweaks and upgrades done to it.[...]
