Fans of the new MINI Convertible will be excited to learn that according to Carscoop's sources, the British firm will launch the all-new John Cooper Works version of the drop-top model in Geneva. Like its hardtop sibling, the JCW MINI Cooper S Convertible's 1.6 litre twin-scroll turbo engine receives a power increase to 211 hp, from the standard unit's 172 hp.

Previously tuning house HARTGE had released a full range of accessories for the BMW M3 that include aluminium pedals, an aluminium handbrake handle and HARTGE gear knob. A new range of exterior accessories is now available from HARTGE.

As the new generation MkVI Volkswagen Golf prepares for its launch down under, German tuner ABT has already completed its performance overhaul of the latest Golf models.These tuned models receive the handling and braking upgrades required for the extra power, featuring ABT lowered springs or threaded suspension together with the option for larger 345mm discs or a sports braking system with 380mm rotors. The range also boasts the visual styling to match the under-bonnet tweaking, with ABT designers developing a unique aero kit incorporating a front grille and apron, side skirts, rear apron and spoiler.The ABT Sportsline Golf range includes the entry-level 1.4 TSI model, the 2.0 TSI and even the 2.0 TDI diesel. Each tuned model is a step above its production equivalent, with the standard 90kW 1.4 TSI engine boosted to 125kW by ABT, while the high-output version develops 147kW up from 118kW - just shy of the power produced by the 2.0 TSI in standard guise.

Branew designed a lovely tuning package for Nissan GT-R and now they prepared a special tuning kit for the new Nissan 370Z. They revealed the new performance package for 370Z at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon a couple of days ago. At the exterior level Branew redesigned the car’s body kit with carbon fiber elements, a new front spoiler, side steps, rear spoiler and a rear wing. To finish the car’s unique look they installed a set of multispoke alloy wheels which will be offered in various sizes. The car tuner wanted to improve this car’s performances and they reprogrammed the 3.7L V6 engine’s control unit and installed a new sports exhaust system.Branew also installed a high performance braking system and a new suspension kit which makes handling easier than ever.

Even though most of the automotive world will be turning its attention this weekend towards Detroit and the 2009 North American International Auto Show, in Japan, automakers are readying their tuning proposals for the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon that runs from January 9 to 11. Mazda will be presenting several cars at the show, including Mazdaspeed modified, track-ready versions of the new Axela, RX-8, Demio (Mazda2) and Atenza (Mazda6) called 'Circuit Trial'. Through this modification AC Schnitzer attains rapid cornering speeds and lowered propensity to understeer providing the driver power reserves for an optimum driving experience.
