German tuning firms MTM and Fostla have joined forces on a custom project to turn an old Audi RS6 Avant into one of the coolest and fastest cars on the road. Tuner MTM took the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V10 engine and breathed new life onto it, boosting it to a new maximum output of 759 PS and 912Nm (673 lb-ft) of peak torque. All that power is transferred to the road via a set of massive 20-inch RS-style wheels,whil... [...]

We love the RUF CTR Yellowbird and the infamous video that goes with it. We were therefore pleased to see Jethro Bovingdon not break it in a drive around Germany. What a gem. [...]

It might not be as near as special or powerful as the limited run Juke R, but Nissan believes that most buyers looking for something sportier than the regular Juke will be content with the new Nismo-branded model that makes its world premiere in production guise at this week's 24 Hours of Le Mans in France.
First seen as a concept model at last year's Tokyo Motor Show, the new Juke Nismo will go on sale in Europe in early 2013, with Japan and the U.S. to follow at a later date.
The Nismo badge brings a host of enhancements to the Juke starting with a tuned-up version of its 1.6-litre direct injection turbocharged petrol engine.[...]

Due to its life-saving role, an ambulance has to be fast enough to arrive asoon as possible to the place of an accident or a medical situation, with the same applying for the drive back to a hospital.
Exactly how fast depends on many factors including the type of vehicle.
While we don't have all the details in our hands yet, given the Brabus brand's previous achievements in the tuning industry, something tells us that its new Special Project Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Ambulance for the desert won?t disappoint when it comes to speed.[...]

The Shelby GT500 is a car that’s too expressive for the term “beast”. However, there will always be some who want more from it and the aftermarket world is more than happy to help. The latest example of such a development comes from Vossen Wheels, which has fitted the muscle car with its goodies. The tuning company released a video showing a Shelby GT500 riding on a set of VVS-CV3 concave rims, aiming to show... [...]

Right now, if you’re to young to prize coachbuilding over raw power and performance, the best car you can have in your garage is a Ferrari 458 Italia. Nothing else combines form and functionality in quite such a cool way and it’s the perfect red devil to look at while sipping a cup of your favorite morning coffee as you look through the transparent garage walls (because you’re that cool). Unfortunately, the 4... [...]

The history of the Vauxhall Victor began back in 1957 when General Motors first unveiled it to the British market. It was a large family car with 55 HP that was built to take families from point A to point B. You don’t need to be a genius to understood that this car had nothing to do with impressive performance level. That being said, we are 100% sure that when Vauxhall brought the Victor onto the market, they never believed that it would become the world’s fastest road-legal drag racing car. With some "minor" modifications to its power source, of course.
In fact, here at TopSpeed, we first reported about the Red Victor 3 back in 2010, when this project was in its early development stages. Now, since it turned out not to be just some guy’s trifle, we decided it was time to offer up a little more information on it.[...]

We absolutely love daredevil antics in cars and on motorcycles, given they are done safely and by professionals. The folks at Top Gear Live are just about to satisfy our craving by pulling off the first 720 on four wheels, which Top Gear has dubbed the "Deadly 720." The term "720" refers to a pair of 360-degree loops in succession, so absolute perfection is required to succeed in tackling each loop.
To give you an idea of just how much precision is needed, the engineers heading up the stunt have estimated that the customized buggy that Top Gear Live is using for this stunt must enter each loop between 24 and 26 mph, 2 mph more could result in excessive G-force and result in the driver blacking out and 2 mph too low would cause the buggy to fall from the loop. To help avoid driver error, Top Gear has fitted the special stunt buggy with an accelerator lock that will hold the accelerator in a precise position to maintain the prescribed speed, so the driver can focus only on keeping the buggy on the 58-meter-long track.[...]
