German tuners don't seem to be having a lot of luck when it comes to naming their projects - at least some of them. We all remember the AVUS "White Power" Audi RS6 and how that story turned out infuriating a great number of readers.

Even though we doubt that anyone will be offended by this latest creation from German luxury tuning firm DMC, calling a car "Fakhuna" seems a like a poor naming choice to say the least?[...]

When it comes to tuning the Audi R8, it’s the V8 version that gets most of the attention. Generally, this is because tuners try to update it to the same power level as the V10 version. This time, however, German tuner XXX Performance took on the challenge of working on the R8 5.2 V10 FSI and provided a complete upgrade package.

The exterior of the Audi R8 V10 by XXX is special in its own right because it’s not every day you have the chance to see a green R8. The tuner combined a real eye-catching bilious green with a carbon foil finish on the side blades and the exterior rear-view mirrors, while the front grille and the headlamps were painted in black. Next, the tuner added a new set of 20" Oxigin 14-Oxrock rims that are fitted with foils to match the bodywork. The new wheels also come with an H&R coilover kit that allows a massive lowering of the vehicle. The interior has been wrapped in fine Alcantara and real leather in a carbon fiber look with white seams.[...]

While BMW is currently designing the next generation Z4, Japanese tuner Rowen gave updating the current generation a try. We don’t necessarily think it needs updating, but to each his own.

The updates for the BMW Z4 began with the exterior where the base element was carbon fiber. The kit consists of a new front bumper spoiler, side steps, a side carbon under flap, rear bumper spoiler, and wing all made of carbon fiber. A new set of wheels complete the look, while the rear of the vehicle gets a new titanium high performance exhaust system that weighs 28 lbs less than the standard exhaust. However, Rowen has yet to reveal if this new exhaust system will translate into any changes under the hood, but it is very possible.[...]

Sure, there are more tuning propositions for the Mini Countryman out there than we care to count, but how many of those really stand out?

The BMW 1-Series M Coupe may be the baby brother in the BMW M family, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a pushover.

On the contrary, the 1M has become quite a fan favorite, proving that you don’t need to spend more than you can in order to enjoy the thrills of owning a sports car. With 340 horsepower on tap, the 1M can definitely hold its own against some of its contemporaries.

But even if its got enough ponies to make us all swoon, there’s always a way to get more out of it. That’s where Alpha-N Performance comes into the picture.

The German tuning firm recently showed us what they can do to a BMW 335i when they released a program for the car a few weeks ago. Now, it’s the 1M Coupe’s turn.

Calling it the 1M RS, Alpha-N Performance fitted the little BMW sports coupe with a comprehensive aero kit that features a wide range of components, including a ventilated carbon hood, front fascia add-on carbon lower spoilers, carbon roof, carbon luggage lid spoiler, and a carbon rear fascia diffuser. Likewise, there’s also a new set of 19" OZ Superforgiata rims wrapped in Michelin tires and a MAC high-performance braking system added into the program.[...]

Last month, German Special Customs tried their hand on the Mercedes CLS 63 AMG by putting together a Stealth to boost up exterior appeal. Now the tuner has decided that they can do better than that and have come up with another package that can dish out 740 HP.

In order to obtain the extra 222 HP, the tuner added bigger turbos, an additional water cooler, a custom exhaust system, and an ECU update. As a result, the V8 engine now delivers a total of 750 HP and a peak torque of 516 lbs-ft. The 0 to 60 mph sprint is done in just 3.7 seconds, while taking the car up to a top speed of 218 mph.[...]

US aftermarket developer RSC Tuning is currently working on a front bumper for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera and is now showing us the first pics of the development. The mighty Lamborghini Aventador comes with no shortage of power, but that doesn’t mean that it’s still not worthy to be treated to a little more juice.

That’s where noted Lamborghini tuner, Underground Racing, comes into the picture. The Charlotte-based tuning firm has made a living modding one Lamborghini super car after another so when they were given a chance to send the Aventador to the dyno, they wasted little time giving it enough added juice to compete with the Bugatti Veyron.

For their first tuning offering for the Aventador, Underground Racing rebuilt the Italian super car’s 6.5-liter V12 engine and strengthened the gearbox unit, and doing so while keeping the supercar’s all-wheel drive system. All told, they were able to almost double the Aventador’s output to 1,200 horsepower, a staggering improvement from it’s already insane 700-horsepower standard output.[...]
