We are quite aware of the fact that the Nissan Juke-R has the same chance of appearing in Nissan?s lineup as the Prowler has a chance to come back into Chrysler?s stable of vehicles. Despite its rarity and the slim chance it?ll ever see production, there are more sightings of the satin black Juke-R than there are of Bigfoot. The latest sighting shows this twin-turbo 3.8-liter V-6-powered crossover SUV tearing up Goodwood Hill.

The Nissan GT-R simply sounds awesome and not much else can compete with it from a pure sound standpoint. Well, after viewing the video of the Juke-R accelerating through Goodwood hill, we are convinced that this supercrossover is right up there with the GT-R. You are likely thinking ?of course it sounds as good as the GT-R, it has the same engine.? For some reason, the Juke-R has a different sound than the GT-R does. This could quite possibly be due to the lack of sound insulation, but you sure can hear the 3.8-liter?s two turbochargers whistling away more in the Juke-R.[...]

Another week, another very cool tuning package coming from Kahn Design. Based on a Land Rover model, of course, their new Range Rover Sport Vesuvius Edition is as impressive as any other tuning kit we have seen coming from them. As you probably are used by now the package includes a series of modifications made to both the exterior and the interior, but nothing has been modified under the hood.

For the exterior Kahn is offering a wide track aerodynamic styling package with vented wide wheel arches and integrated LED daytime running lights, quad stainless steel exhaust system, liquid gold calipers, RS front grille with 3d mesh, grille insert in carbon fiber, exhaust side vents and Kahn branding. The car will be offered with matte pearl grey door handles, Vesuvius orange side vents and a grille surround.

The interior comes with bespoke RS front and rear seats in diamond quilted perforated black leather with Vesuvius orange inserts, matching centre arm rest and door tops, carbon fibre interior facia trim, speedo & rev counter in red, diamond gear selector, Churchill time clock with Swarovski diamond bezel, Kahn illuminated sill plates and machined foot pedals.[...]

Never content with just one tuning program at a time, German tuner Wheelsandmore has prepared a separate program for the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe, joining their new package for the SL500 R231.

For the former, Wheelsandmore added a subtle styling upgrade with a stripe design on the right side of the vehicle serving as an optional feature should you want to spice up the look of your car. The two biggest features of Wheelsandmore’s program are the new set of 20" 6Sporz² forged wheels wrapped in Dunlop Sportmaxx GT tires. Since customers have free reign on what kind of rims they want, the German tuners created matte black wheel centers and rims colored in the same hue as that of the original AMG brake calipers. Moreover, Wheelsandmore also added an in-compression, a rebound adjustable KW coil over suspension, and a performance upgrade that includes special 4-in-1 manifolds, sport air filters, modified electronics and a flap-controlled stainless steel exhaust system.[...]

At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus displayed a concept version of the Evora coupe developed in collaboration with Mansory.

The German tuning house also worked on the Evora GTE and other special Lotus versions such as the carbon fiber-bodied Evora GTE that was unveiled last month in Geneva.

Today, Lotus announced that from now on, Mansory will be its official customization studio. The German company will work closely with Lotus? engineers on special editions of the Elise, the Exige and the Evora and the first samples of this collaboration will appear at the Paris Motor Show in September.[...]

In the never-ending battle for supremacy on the drag strip, a previous generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 went out to prove its worth against a mix of stock as well as modified SUVs and sports cars.

The Grand Cherokee SRT-8 itself featured a supercharged version of the regular model's Hemi V8 pushing down 700-horsepower.

Its rivals were a BMW X6M tuned by Hamann with 670-ponies, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo-based Gemballa GT600 with 600-horses lurking under its hood, a stock Ford Mustang GT500 rated at 612-horsepower and a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo with 580-horses.[...]

In case there was ever a question in anyone’s mind, German tuner Wheelsandmore is considered one of the best in the tuning business for their impeccable versatility in tuning sports cars. Youtube High Tech Corvette has posted a video of one very special little black 1994 Toyota Supra, one that belongs to the bombshell Jessica Barton. The big news is that it was the most powerful car to dyno at TX2K12, putting out 11655 rear wheel horsepower. The car was recently dynoed at just 865rwhp on boost.

Hennessey’s vehicles are smashing records after records. The newest one was established by a Hennessey Twin-Turbo Ford GT which established a standing mile record of 257.7 mph, officially becoming the fastest car at Texas Mile (for cars running on the Chase Field runway in Beeville).

Hennessey attempted to break the standing mile record last year with the Ford GT as well, but fell short at just 235 mph. The first day of the 2012 Texas Mile brought them up to 246.8 mph, but the second day was the true triumph with the 257.7 mph record. The victorious Ford GT by Hennessey is owned by Mark Heidaker and driven by Sean Kennedy.

We love it when tuners know better than to fit a stupid body kit that ruins the look of a car we liked. But there's nothing wrong with subtly enhancing a brand new model with big rims, because people who buy expensive cars tend to have a desire to stand out.

While BMW is on its way of ditching the M3's naturally-aspirated V8 for a tri-tubo L6 powerplant, one of the carmaker's fans has done the opposite, choosing to fit an E82 1-Series coupe with a V8 borrowed from an M3 rather than buy a twin-turbo L6 1M Coupe.
