DMC has gone all out with their mods for the Lamborghini Aventador, bringing all sort of changes and improvements to the game.

But we were quite surprised when we found out how much this costs: €125,000 (equivalent to $165,000) for the whole upgrade. Now that might sound like just a number, but very few tuners of supercars reveal exactly how much unique will cost you.

Straight from the minds of the people that brought us the "Zeus,", the "Deathbolt," and the "Eagle Eye" comes another piece of tuning genius in the "Exkalaber."

With the continuing trend of working on some of the finest sports cars in the land, SR Auto Group took the M5 E60 and gave it a mash-up of customized programs from different tuners and made it into their own.

The most distinctive addition to the German sports car is the Hamann-sourced aerodynamic body kit that comes with a bevy of new components, including the new front lip, new side skirts, and the new rear lip. In addition, SR Auto Group also added four matte black exhaust tips that, when combined with a Dinan exhaust system, gives the M5 E60 a significant performance boost.

Rounding out the modifications are a new set of wheels - the 21" PUR 4OUR DEPTH wheel - that the aftermarket company has fitted into some of the most exotic super cars in the world.[...]

Under normal circumstances, a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 wouldn’t be able to hold a candle to cars like the Nissan GT-R, the Audi R8, and even the BMW X6M.

Whereas the Grand Cherokee SRT8 is capable of producing ’only’ 420-something horsepower, the Audi R8 carries 525 horsepower while the Switzer-tuned GT-R has 850 horsepower, and the X6M carries 620 ponies. But things become very, very different when a Grand Cherokee SRT8 packs a monstrous 7.2-liter V8 engine that produces no less than 1,000 horsepower. When you line up an SUV carrying that much power, all common sense is thrown out the proverbial window.

In this video, we have a 1,000-horsepower Grand Cherokee SRT8 engaging in a drag race with the three aforementioned vehicles. It’s a rare sight to see a Jeep SUV put a German supercar and a high-powered German SUV to shame. The only car that still managed to get a leg-up on the Jeep SUV was the Switzer-tuned GT-R, which took advantage of its own tuning upgrade to blast the strip and let the Grand Cherokee SRT8 eat its dust.[...]

Modifying exotic supercars can be a very, very expensive sport. How expensive, we hear some of you ask?

In the case of DMC, the German tuning firm's LP900 ?Molto Veloce? upgrade package for the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 will cost potential buyers a whopping ?125,000 (US$163,200) or about 20 percent more than a brand new 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S in Germany![...]

It's one thing putting numbers on paper and another displaying the capabilities of a tuned vehicle in action on the road.

To make a better business case about its products, German tuning firm Hartge has published a video showcasing a BMW 525d xDrive with and without its power kit.

In standard guise, the 525d xDrive gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel churning out 215hp (218PS) and 450Nm (332 lb-ft). Hartge's power kit that includes a software upgrade lifts those numbers to 254hp (258PS) and 530Nm (391 lb-ft) respectively.[...]

It's got a two-stage fueling system comprising rocket fuel and Spaceballs-grade liquid Schwartz. It's been widened by nine inches and lightened to achieve the power-to-weight ratio of a '70s-era Formula One car. It's also got a Group B-inspired twin-charging system that produces quadruple-digit horsepower. It just might be the world's fastest Lotus Exige. [...]

There are few things better than a luscious super car, but any guy will tell you that, on that short list, there’s a hot girl next to a super car. Forgiato Wheels knows this and while their tuning package for the Lamborghini Aventador isn’t really anything to write home about, a beautiful girl in a white, see-through blouse makes all the difference.

The only modifications Forgiato Wheels added was, well, wheels. The new wheels are called Artigli-ECL and where inspired by the sharp lines and aggressive look of the Lamborghini Aventador. They measure 20×9 with a 2" lip up front and 21×13.5 with a 4.5" lip at the rear, and are wrapped in Pirelli tires, size 255/30/20 and 355/25/21 rear. Their white paint finish fits perfectly with the exterior of the super car and with the model’s white top.[...]

AMS’s ridiculously amazing Nissan GT-R Alpha has just received an Omega upgrade and broken the quarter mile world record yet again. The last time AMS took a shot at pushing the limits of the quarter mile was about six months ago when they acquired a time of 8.97 seconds at 169 miles an hour. Now, with an impressive 1,602 all-wheel horsepower on tap, the insanely awesome, updated GT-R Alpha Omega has run the quarter mile in an astounding 8.6263 seconds with an exit speed of 173.8 mph on the first run of the day. This impressive result was achieved on March 17, 2012 at the Lonestar Motorsports Park.

Even before the Nissan GT-R Alpha dominated the quarter mile, the car had already hit an impressive top speed of 216.9 mph in October 2011 at the Texas Mile. The car has also set a new record for 60-130 mph acceleration at a blistering 3.31 seconds - a time even more impressive than the most powerful supercars out there.[...]

The sexy Italian(ish) model of Romanian origin Catrinel Menghia has given Fiat a huge boost in the US market place. Her commercial for the 500 Abarth aired during the 2012 Super Bowl and has already racked up about 9 million views on Youtube, not mentioning those made by the copies that are out there.

Not forgetting what she's done for the image of the brand, Chrysler Group's Mopar division called on her to ‘review' a brand new version of the hot supermini they had made with Italian par... [...]

In one of those "wait for it moments", a heavily modded Honda S2000 gave the crowd something to talk about at the TX2K12 drag race event in Texas this past weekend.

The tuned Japanese roadster model was up against a Toyota Supra in a quarter mile drag race. The S2000 shoot off as if someone put a firecracker up its tailpipe performing not one, but several wheelies.

As impressive as they were, the wheelies not only cost the driver the race but he almost lost control of the car. Videos follows after the break.[...]
